GU82 ... on weekly reset day ???

I start playing for the day at 10 PM my time (after working, washing the dishes, eating - not in that order, lol) so you'll get no sympathy from me.

Yeah well guess what .. the down time JUST got extended another 3 hours or more. MAYBE when it actually affects YOU you'll be concerned. So now if you live on the East Coast of the US ... the game will not be only line until some time AFTER 5:30PM. I know next time we have a situation like this let us know the ONLY time you are available to be on line and we can schedule it for then.. Then let's see just how YOU feel about it. LOL

What's there to be concerned about, though? The game is down. Do something else. If you can't play when it's up and you miss a day of double crowns, so what? If you don't have enough in your life that this situation is actual cause for concern then some priorities should be evaluated.

Have you ever considered that maybe they knew the downtime would inconvenience people and that's the entire reason they gave us a double crowns weekend in the first place?

Hahaha. I know sometimes I'm very "vocal and passionate" to put it kind... but it is because I love the game so much.
Been waiting for Style Unlock for so long, it makes me happy to see things going in the right direction.

I'm curious.. Did you read BOTH my posts here? Aside from starting LATER this down time does not affect ME at all but unlike some players who who couldn't care less about anything or anyone BUT themselves my posts were meant to express the issues some players may have with the delay. The entire idea of a FOUR day long double X weekend is to give any and all players a chance at FOUR DAYS of added currency to buy things with that can improve their CR.

The attitude of the individual I directed most of my comments at is typical of what we see in game. A bunch of players supposedly on a TEAM that don't give a crap about anyone else but them selves. I live on the East Coast... The game went down at 8:30 AM here and it's almost 4PM now and game is still not back. Now as an example.... Let's say a player works from 4PM to Midnight and has an hour drive to and from work. so they get home around 1AM every day. They are tired after a long day at work and like to just go to bed after they get home and take care of WHATEVER has to be done in real life. So the only time they have to play the game is after they wake up and before they head to work..... Well guess what.. those players just got ripped off from earning ANY crowns today double or otherwise.

Now put yourself into that situation and tell me you would not feel cheated. Because some executive at daybreak decided to schedule the update at the same time as this limited time event. Heck The game isn't even up and running run.. and obviously they have already discovered ONE issue they had not anticipated which made the delay last up to 3 more hours. How many other times have we seen them upload new stuff and wind up needing to shut down hours later to fix a mess the upload created? For all we know at some point the game could be back off line for an hour or two more later tonight. Its a scheduling nightmare and unless we get MORE details on how GU 82 HAD to be uploaded or the double weekend wouldn't work I see no reason why GU 82 could not have been held off and done on Monday of next week.

All will be forgiven if the bonus crowns are extended through Monday

The double crowns weekend was dependent on the update. The update wasn't ready until today. End of story.

Also, as I mentioned, it's entirely possible the whole reason for the double crowns weekend was to make it up to players for an update they knew would take a while. So instead of feeling cheated out of 4 days of double currency, ask yourself how much currency you would ordinarily have gotten from a normal, run-of-the-mill weekend, and how much you'll get from 3 days of double currency.

Now we have had numerous Double marks, double Ancient coins, double war bods, double marked Bills, double Ultra Bucks and hey even double catalysts 4 day long week ends that didn't REQUIRE the ability to use replay badges to buy pieces of armor or anything else listed as a change taking place with GU82. Fact is All those double "whatever" weekends have one very special thing that Daybreak hopes will happen.. A lot more players will be on line and a lot more of them will be using up replays to buy access to more raids, alerts etc. We get a few more Marks (or whatever) to buy stuff with but THEY rake in a nice big pile of extra REAL CASH.

Frankly this added downtime is hurting their profits more than it is any individual players. The decision to do them at the same time is costing them potential cash.

I don't understand what point you're trying to make here.

They should just cancel the double crowns for today, so everyone starts off on equal footing for tomorrow.

Or I dunno, just be happy for those that get the extra day, and don't worry terribly much over something that is supposed to be a bonus anyway?

Just pretend that weekend means like, weekend, and ignore any previous mention of Thursday.

The point is simple.... Considering exactly how much of GU82 actually affects Deluge and for god sake please tell me I don't need to give another LINK to the notes on ALL changes being made to the game. What exactly was so critical to the DOUBLE CROWN weekend that it was impossible to hold without up[loading GU 82 first? We've had countless other DOUBLE this or double that weekends and the ONLY thing they had to do was change the coding on how many crowns, bills, bonds, coins or whatever we got. AMAZINGLY every single one of those happened with no issues long before GU 82 was even on test let alone ready to upload and go live.

Its an excuse they are using to justify wanting to get GU82 out as fast as possible so more people would be on line grabbing double marks AND could spend replays buying gear since the styles would be available as well. The game has been off line for 9 hours now and still isn't back up yet .. they are losing money because of the number of players that are now at work, in bed or whatever instead of playing the game,.

If that were true, they'd have just left the double weekend for next weekend. No one put a gun to their head to make the announcement, did they?
