Which us why I started that I can't do a true test because im on ps.. my post was merely to show that all powers are not even close at melee range as my fire with less than approved stats did better than my sorc with more than approved stats. Do you think my fire damage will go down if I get him to 126???

For your Sorcery what is your rotation and what is your weapon?

Try this for your Sorc toon vs your current rotation...

I use Shard and Transmutation and I keep Fury charged with Offering and when avaialbe I use the SC Grand Summong...

So I go Shards of Life, Transmutation, Offering, Transmuation, Transmutation, Shards of Life, etc.....

This is not what I use in game as it is super power hungery compared to the Weapon of Desitny rotation that I normally use. It is not bad when you are getting power back from the sparring targets.
  3. Remander Steadfast Player

Doesn't help that the pets receive constant power from the sparring targets, which artificially inflates the numbers.
  4. Sage-Rapha Steadfast Player

They dont receive any power from league hall or watchtower targets.

Fury blows his bar in two rotations and clips solar flame with his transmute at point blank range
Crystal clips at point blank range when spawned. Blows her power bar in one rotation, twice.

So despawns are optimal and it's quite annoying because that is room for margin of error even the more :(

If it helps, think of it as testing Maximum Damage (melee), Viable Damage (midrange), and Minimally Effective Damage (range).

So from some of these tests it looks like nature came out over ice in some spots. I really feel that not having any gear mods skews testing results.
  7. Sore Steadfast Player

10s samples make the average columns way more important than low-high. Ice beats Nature in the averages. Keep in mind that Range tests are strict. For example with Nature, no Savage Growth. I don't know what that Ice loadout was for range.

Would be Avalanche spam instead of artic gust spam

Hmm, when did they change that? It had been a testing issue for a long time. Admittedly, I haven't tested Earth in several weeks.

Look at the current effects when in dog form when you use stealth fling and thrash looks interesting.
  11. Sage-Rapha Steadfast Player

They changed it shortly after GU47

And my thing with melee and mid-range is they clearly designed melee only moves like how savage growth was, thorn burst, splosion, outrage, bitter winds and the list goes on and on. Then there are clearly mid ranged powers like fire burst, emp and so on. They just updated savage growth and electro burst to mid-range so how can they even say mid-range doesn't exist lol.

I get that but if mods were taken into consideration nature would have never beaten ice on the parser even if it was just one lucky rotation.

Thats part of the agenda, see how modding and all that other jazz alters results.

I should add that I'll see a 50% at minimum increase on Live compared to test, Sore reports lower, we want to see whats going on there.

As I understand it, it's more that there are only two ranges: long and short. Short is 12.5 m in, and long is outside 12.5 m to max range. Problem is there are some attacks that only work within 7 m. That basically creates a closer range option that's not really recognized by the Devs.

Its not so much about how I think of it :) :
unviable DMG (melee in raids) - optimal DMG (midrange, risk vs reward) - Minimally Effective DMG
Players/Testers/You acknowledged that long time ago its the Devs that obviously didnt. Hence my reply/quote.

I think for a might vs might power this method would be ok (but i still would't feel comfortable basing anything solid off of it) but to compare a might power vs a prec/might power or a might power vs a prec power you just don't get the correct data without mods.

I think you guys should go back and do these same tests but mod your gear, use the correct generator mods and all that and then gather the results from that to see if there are any variations.

Literally JUST said that was on the agenda Crappy lol

    It's a matter of perception.

    They were thinking this:

And we went and flipped it around. They didn't account for how that'd create a new play style

Whatever the history, I think I've got them on the same page at the moment. It's a really good time for us to meet them halfway and do all the tests.
