I fully support your desire to play in the way that you enjoy. That's awesome and you point out many rewards you can earn by doing lower tiered content, both for your character and you personally. You will still get all of those same benefits from that behavior. You may earn less or no Prestige. I understand that that leads you to feel conflicted over whether the rewards you're already familiar with outweigh the lack of a new reward. That is an unfortunate side effect. I would point you to the other lack of rewards for running lower tier content (lesser marks, lesser gear, etc.) as established precedent, but I'm sure you've already taken this into account in establishing your opinion on the matter. This is definitely something we discussed and thought about a great deal before coming to this conclusion. I'm not trying to sound dismissive. Your opinion is completely valid, reasonable, and welcomed. I simply want to express that while the system is not perfect, we felt it would result in the greatest outcome for the most people given the existing nature of the game, priorities, and the limit to the amount of time we can spend on a feature given the desire to make sure it actually sees the light of day.
Do the Gotham Under Siege dailies contribute Prestige? I've tried completing a few of them and haven't seen any Prestige contributions. EDIT: I just noticed that Soder Cola Turbo and Mega have Prestige values. I'll finally get some use out of them.
Really hoping the dlc and gu39 are hitting live at the same time then because as a t6 player i can only run t5 raids for reduced prestige and imo thats not equal at all compared to t5 or t4 players who can run 3 or even 4 raids to earn the max prestige.
How can they hit at the same time if the dlc requires player made league halls for a raid? You know all this ahead of time...maybe you should get some T4 or T5 alts ready to go.
That's an easy one, a generic one is made. Order if I remember right: Your league' hall. The majority's league hall. Any person in the group's league hall. Any random league's hall if no one in group has one. A randomly made one. I actually hope they do launch at the same time. It would be kind of nice to at least feel like I can contribute with my actual built up player and farming TD more leaves a worse taste in my mouth than these antibiotics I'm taking do. After we get a league hall, it wont be that bad with prestige earning if you constantly demat mark related stuff, but only AFTER. It's frustrating, it really does feel like we are punished for being around for so long and have built up our characters. I'm not looking to unlock all 13 proficiencies, but I'm more worried about how long it is going to take to actually do it. They have already said their stance on the diminishing returns and it really frustrates me to think about it. That's a problem. If this game frustrates the player, it ceases to be "FUN" and it becomes a "chore" or "job". We saw what a "job" OC content was for the majority, lets hope this doesn't end up like that. I'm not doom and glooming here, I'm saying that the league halls is a great idea, but it punishes old players and smaller leagues. Especially since they have hard and soft caps already, we don't need double prevention.
What bumbling b said. I shouldnt have to make a t4 or t5 alt. I have 4 toons and they are all t6 for a reason. There is always talks of balance, equal, and fair on these forums. If t6 players have no raids and 1 alert to run just tell me how its equal to a t5 player who has 5 alerts and 3 raids to run for prestige? Its not at all. I should be penalized because i got my toons to the highest tier? That makes absolutely no sense what so ever.
Glad I'm not the only one seeing the prestige earning implementation as a possible issue. I hope when it drops, I end up being wrong and it's not as much a chore as it appears to be. Right now, I'm seriously considering dropping my subscription. I'm in one of those smaller leagues, and I worry that I'll be doing more to help my league than what I actually find fun in the game. The two paths seem to diverge with the way prestige is earned, and I care too much about my league to watch it fall apart due to how long it will likely take just to get a league hall. If my league falls apart, I don't have much incentive to play anymore. :-{
That's actually quite a good question. We are always scaled to the difficulty of the IAs. So, we really can't plow through them just to farm prestige.
Well, guess it's going live tomorrow. We have no way to demat anything until we have the league hall. We will have to run with lower alts just to farm prestige. Since it's launching a Wed, that means we have less than a day to farm the prestige before weekly cap resets. Good luck everyone! This is supposed to be a joyous event, but God does it leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Yup, there is no balance to how prestige is earned, at all. I get 100 prestige from my base items, big ******* whoop! The "average" league size is 40, there's 4,000/100,000 weekly prestige you can earn. TD grants 204 prestige per person. So, if you have the average league size, you get another 8,160 prestige. Then the two solos... actually i'll just make a calculated list: 40 leaguemates (average) 500 Base times = 4,000 prestige TD run = 8,160 prestige T6 Duos = 86 x 2 = 6,880 prestige Iconic Anomalies = 73 x 2 = 5,840 prestige T5 raids = 77 x 3 = 9,240 prestige T5 alerts = 51 x 5 = 10,200 prestige So, if the average sized league were to run all this content today, they'll get roughly 44,320 prestige. Since the above is such an unrealistic expectation, the devs should really rethink how prestige is earned, as you'll need atleast 100 active members to get anything accomplished in the League Halls. The original Justice League had SEVEN members! They managed to accomplish a heck of a lot with just the core supers (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman)
The weekly cap is not 100k, but 80k. It was to "prevent" everyone from getting a league hall in a day. -_- Plus, there is a soft cap before you get to it, so there really is no reason to triple throttle us like this.
I'm pretty sure the cap is 100k. The thing is, that it costs 100k to buy a league hall, but it also costs 25,000+ to pick your destination. So, it technically takes 2 cycles to purchase a league hall.
I think the Weekly Soft Cap will be 62,500 and the Weekly Hard Cap will be 81,250 based on this post by Zinbik:
u ve to think a bit further.. its maybe hard to create a league hall but after that u can be always on cap with 10 members: here some calculating: 1 MoV = 20 Pres (like zibnik said) lair battles 1vs1 or 2vs2 brings u 20 on lose and 40 on win with cr89 pvp => 400Pres on lose or 800Pres on win for each person this battle takes about 1:30min.. idealy 2vs2 from the same league gives u 2400Pres in 1:30mins.. do 20 fights => 30-35min => idealy 48k Pres for 35min pvp party and further u can spend ur buyed gear with MoF ratio of 138 => daily up to 15 marks(just duos, GUS solos and TD) gives u 2k+ Pres each member The only hard thind on this ratios is to create a LH cuz u dont have a donation box in WT
weekly cap is 81,250 and thats the hard cap and i wanna say thnx soe for penalizing me for having my toons in t6, awesome.
I wouldn't say that we're being penalized for toons being t6. We're on the edge of having content, and plenty of it, that will make up for that. To me... this prestige thing isn't really worth getting worked up about until I've seen it in action. It's new. It needs to be played out for a bit to see if the intent behind it is what the end result will be.
That's the entire problem with the system, it's weighted so heavily on dematerializing that it will take most leagues 3-4 weeks to earn the prestige to just unlock their hall. When I said there is literally no balance to prestige earning, this is exactly what I meant.
