    Completely depends on when you clip it. Interruption in itself is not a a factor. If you stop any animation early, depending on how early you will take a 50/50 chance on losing your AM completely, not just being at the 1.5second timer.
    Early clip by a construct combo: 4 seconds til AM damage
    Late clip by a construct combo: Full AM damage from the start
    Early clip by any tray ability besides combo: 4 seconds til AM damage
    Late clip by any tray ability besides combo: 1.5 seconds til AM damage
    Trinkets/SC/Consumables: Full AM damage from the start
    If you pause for no reason: Full AM damage from the start

    Funny because using the same logic pve should be a lot harder. When they let us go into lower instances and not get clamped we 1shot everything which ruins what the design team did considering not only are mechanics ignored but the adds/bosses won't even show their full animations. Even at tier, you can ignore 90%+ of boss mechanics. What's the point of having the design team go through and implement mechanics when 1shots are the only thing that people will even pay attention to. If we're talking about wasting the design team's time we should be clamped when going into lower content and every boss mechanic should have 1shot potential.

    It all started with less skilled players who complained about jump canceling on the forums and then spiraled from their, people complaining this guy beat me cause he was clipping and i don't want to play like that to achieve max damage..and the list goes on. This isn't the place to argue about that though so.

    You know what started the complaints, those who complained about bad DPS. That started the whole WM thing and removal of jump cancelling. Not those who could not do it, it is the other way around. Higher performing players wanted lower ones to perform better, well watch what you wish for is my key rule of thumb as the dumb down mechanics is a result of those players complaining about BAD DPS.

    Now we have AM's which is even easier than WM.

    Again, WM players complaining about players who could not do WM to produce better numbers.

    AM's are simple so that any player can come into the game and produce decent damage. The problem I see now is that even with a simple mechanic in game, players are not smart enough to READ to figure out the AM. I swear, each power on the left where it provide a short description of the power tree should contain the base AM setup that the developers use for their testing of the power.

    This way, complaints about crappy DPS existing in game can stop and all players would be a bit better and all players would have access to the developers testing setup for each power. If you do find a bad player, it would be easier to state, go to your power tree and move the curser/joy pad to the left to see the AM mechanics for your power.

    Just a thought.

    As for Light balancing, has anyone actually ran a test in DP, BN, or BP to see how Light performs against other powers now that clipping and using inspiration has been removed?

    Crappy I started the game when the game swapped over. I saw more complaints here about bad DPS than one complaining about a nerf. Maybe I miss some of those nerf this or that thread. But I can tell you this, more players were complaining that when they run stuff there were more bad than good DPS.

    Now the AM is getting it easier to be an effective DPS.

    WM was the go between for a short time until AM were out for all powers.

    And they just nerfed HL again and made it more boring. Well Tunso, you've made it loud and clear that HL will never be a good dps again. For those unaware, a short bit before I posted this the patch just came in that reduced the amount of ticks we get from minigun and lightblast if we go into the next combo too fast. Aka what someone just said 1-2 pages ago that they wished didn't happen to HL that would kill it just happened. So now we're at:
    - loss of loadout slots due to AM reduction outside of combo'ing
    - power point problems that won't solve anything even if done due to ^
    - melee dps is still vulnerable due to shields causing an AM reduction
    - HL mid range just caught a 8% damage nerf from a slow rotation and a 11.1% nerf from a fast rotation. we were sitting at 34K damage at mid range and now we're at 31.5K holding out the animations for light blast and minigun and 30.6K for not.

    I didn't think it was possible for a power to have a mid range update and be worse than/the same as how it was on live, I stand corrected I guess. I'm done testing until I see a specific patch where I see AM for tray powers are back, otherwise I'm not wasting my time on a power that's still going to be weak. The one light of hope that the HL community had for it's power to be good and be back to being a top dps is not only gone but our dreams just got stepped on. I feel like I just got slapped in the face, I'm out >.> *deuces*

    If they are going to keep crushing our dreams like this, then they have to implement Inspiration starting our AM or at the very least let inspiration last the duration of our am until we cancel or fall out of it. I mean what purpose does it serve to have buffs in our tree if it isn't even in our best interest to spec into them and utilize them.

    You seem to be the most active at trying things, have you to tried to continiously "late clip" combos with inspiration/chompers/recharge through a full parser to see if it still a dps increase with the 1.5 second am delay?

    a 1k damage increase upon perfection. If you mess up you drop down into the mid 20's. it's not worth at all.

    Lol I don't see any point in having a testing thread if they're just gonna do what they want, it's suppose to be a mid range update but All they been doing is nerfing a already bad power, I usually support the Devs on their decisions but this is beyond reason. I don't see any reason behind this..

    Any other power can clip out of animations but when HL does it...it's fixed...again. Why keep HL bad.. What happened to balance?

    Am I taking this correctly that we should now be letting LB and MG fully play out?? Sounds like the ticks got buffed but yeah on the whole not the biggest gift we've gotten so far....

    I get that HL works differently than other powers/AMs but these recent changes dont make much sense at all. I dont want HL to be OP I want it balanced, but it looks like some variables arent being taken into consideration, especially it being one of the most vulnerable powers next to Rage.

    Like, can anyone explain why we're still stuck with this awful "4 seconds before the AM level dmg kicks in" rule? Considering its so easy to interrupt HL in so many ways, shouldn't it be the opposite?
