Yesterday we found out that the marks For the game will be changing to marks of victory and the rest of content Will not drop marks if you are out of that cr. So for me this is the end of the high levels so with that being said this will be my last post on the forums i am off to make alts you won't be seeing me an any of the new dlcs
Lol nah that was a league mate like that i will still be playing the game but as only as a alt i will not be appearing in any of the new dlcs.
This may be true for me as well. I will have to wait and see how it plays out, but then again I've been wanting to make more alts to try out every power set, so if playing to keep up with content, etc gets to be too expensive then I can always just play more affordable by just starting over with new alts. But will have to see how viable that is as well with the new mark system and gaining gear coupled with the amount of players to just be able to do anything beyond levels 1-30.
yeah o also kinda hated that..... i mean with all the nearly impossible instances u at least need some other way besides dailys to get easy marks. they could have at least reduced the amount of marks u get by half when doing a tier lower then urs. that would have at least been reasonable.
So what you're saying is that upon the GU47s release, alts will be preferred over mains because of...??? Just trying to understand what exactly would be different. Does the monthly addition of content make mains not as important because you can easily play catch-up? I'm guessing this is what you mean?
You do realize eventually you will reach the high level, meaning another toon you wont use, and at one point you will have nothing to do.
This actually harms alts, making progression slower on them because less high level people will queue for things that take a lot of players.
This change will have absolutely NO impact on Higher Level players in Lower content. I can't fathom why poeple think that will be. Higher Level players DO NOT run lower content for Marks. LOL!!!
I ranked up 5 toons at the same time since I first started playin about 3-4 years ago to 113-114 and instead of just replaying the same thing on one toon I just get one one run the raids alerts get on the next toon run them again and they all get gear the same day and have the same marks unless one gets drops and the other don't other wise they are all even give or take a piece or two or a mod or two. It makes the game more fun and like an arcade game for me I just choose what power I wanna run on and run the same content at the same level and don't have to have that "alt" feeling that most people do when they get on an alt. Cuz my alts get about the same amount of playing time as my main. I just love tanking and healing with different playstyles I don't even dps I just have the tank and healer power types that I'm feelin that month and test out things on them depending on the content that's out or if I get bored I switch one but still get to keep my main healer and main tank power those two never change powers tho just the other alts. But i'll have to read what they are doing to the marks I haven't seen it yet, why would people be saying they aren't gonna play anymore and are gonna just rank new alts for? i'll have to read what happened but I mean they do know that even if they get abunch of marks of the solo mark they still can't take a fresh 30 alt and buy high tier gear from the vendors or get into the content to get drops so if that's the reason for the alts talk then I just wanted to put that out there. But If that's not the reason than by all means alt up its really fun to play diff styles and not just one all the time I would die and be done by now if I was playing on one toon lol. I couldn't take it playin just one power. What are they doing getting rid of the marks of power and symbols or reality or whatever and keeping the tier marks alone? Or are they getting rid of triumph and all that as well? What are we suppose to buy the tact mods with if theres no triumph? I really dont' want a new piece of t6.5 or t7 to cost like 60000 marks of whatefver I hate how the like trigon gear and t5 gear is abunch of triumph like that its wayyyyy more easier to look at and add if its just 45 marks or 60 marks for chest or whatever theres no need to make us break out calculators lol there really isn't. If they keep triumph and make the new mark victory then that's cool if u can convert it to a **** ton of triumph and not have fury marks anymore or whatever. But if they only have victory and no triumph then that means that the base mods will be like 5 marks to cut on or either the gear will cost 45000 marks to buy a piece if everything drops it. I don't like that if that's the case i'll have to go read. But that seems messy to change that causing the top tier gear to not cost 45-60 marks, I really really hope they make it in a way that whatever its conversion is works for the base mods well and keeps the gear vendor as the low number and not the ridiculous num in the thousands lol. I hope that they mean that the marks of symbols of power etc are convertible into symbol of victory then it would be cool cuz theyre just wasting away with nothing to use them on theres just red numbers at the max. but if you could make those triumph it would be amazing devs cuz with the amount of alts I have its hard to keep the generators all the way maxed on the supply, orbital, backup and stuff and we did run stuff to earn those marks so it would be cool if we could actually use those on something that is current in our gameplay that being the base mods etc doesn't seem like its too much or anything to be converted to, we can't use triumph to further our gear anyways so it would be cool to see that implemented. I'm sure they have thought it through tho and tried to declutter the mark system to make it eaiser I know I doubted it when they converted it to all triumph back in the day and it was a big deal and had us all worried but it worked out really well I thought but when I hear something like all one mark going forward and stuff it does cause some worry, but I mean that's what they said before when it was changed to triumph so idk, maybe they have a way we can use victory marks to buy the base and it not b like 50k or something while allowing us to still value those marks at the rate of 45-60 for top tier gear from vendors. I'll have to look into how that's gonna happen but if they have it figured out then it will be fine I'm sure. I'm not sure what the whole mid double mark thing was about anyways I know it was so people couldn't skip content or gear but they're not usable marks anymore.
I was wondering the same thing... Mains (at 114+) can pre pay all rent prior to GU 47 going live, and have a month to farm new gear before it's due. Everyone else has to make a choice, improve CR or pay for EVERYTHING else using the same currency. At least currently you hit 100 and all those old marks can be used to pump into your mainframe and give you access to things you're probably going to need to survive yet probably couldn't justify getting before then. Low level alts might be fine, but if you ever consider starting to get to T6 with an alt, or even new players progressing upwards, they are going to have a much harder time than fresh 100s do currently. Only saving grace would be to game the system, save 100 MoV once you hit 99 and then get a minor upgrade to hit 100, then buy the new tier gear, probably giving you another 2 CR and taking the edge off a new tier, but that still doesn't pay rent.
The change will actually help my Alts, making it much more straight forward on how / why / what to keep up with.
But if what your saying is real and if your cr is over the content u really don't get marks so if like I'm 114 and I run a and b for my base mods then I won't get marks for that to cover unlocking one of the base mods at once anymore? I think that they should still make it where you get marks idk what defines the line of the cr limit to exclude u from that content tho. Seems a bit odd to do it that way if its true. But I have faith it will work out hopefully I don't think they will do anything game ending lol. I hope its just to make the symbols of power useful and convertible would be nice and whatever they do make the base mods and backup and stuff easier to obtain and keep the top teir gear price 45-60 and all will be fine.
T 6 is divided into multiple parts So yeah PEOPLE DO NOT RUN ARTIFACTS, LOCKDOWN OR NECROPOLIS FOR MARKS for conversion to MOT or one of the like 4 t6 styles they just like those raids alot. PEOPLE ALSO DON'T RUN NEXUS AND PARADOX for marks for t5 styles they haven't finished, just nostalgia cap lock doesn't make it more correct dude.
