um has dcuo become grind for styles? are the styles really more expensive than the best obtainable gear? i just finished doing my raids this week so what is left? pvp is ok but what about us pve guys? i cant build my toon any further unless i pay extra or wait till thursday? skill points i mean this is NOT IN ANY way worth it. hey if 99 gear is "needed" and 101 gear is max, then 150 is plenty close. the difference from a set of 99 gear vs a set of 101 gear is way greater then the effect of the skill points left to obtain. worse some of those "obtainable" feat points would require additional monatery contrabutions to obtain. role gear, race feats per movement mode. MAX is no longer obtainable so we now have close. as a result i dont have to chase skill points becase i dont "need" them to progress. so the only controlable thing i have to thrive for is styles? 70 marks of the top tiered marks at that. am i wrong to feel cheated having to pay 70 marks of fury for codex item? codex gear i dont have because the game is flawed. ok well actually because someone decided its ok if the customer gets cheated if replay sales goes up. if i dont chase the styles what do i run daily content for? what am i logging in to do? for the first time in four years i have nothing to strive for. i am a daily player and the notion of a break is crazy to me. i play dcuo daily because i game daily and prefered dcuo over any other game. i at the moment cant seem to find any reason to log in. according to the devs as is i am strong enough for the next dlc. there is no longer an obtainable ceiling and both in gear and skill points i am good to go so the only thing left to do is get stronger which is on hold till reset. wow that was just yesterday.
But you aren't at max. You can still go for those skill points. And by the way, there is no feat in this game that requires you to spend replay badges. At 70 MoF, those styles are rather cheap, now that you have PLENTY of instances to farm for marks or alterantively, you can log in from time to time to do the instances where they drop. Do you have any alts, do you all the gear you need for your secondary role? Have you finished Legends PvE: Area 51? Do you PvP at all, and is so, are you full 100? Do you have all the PvP styles? Are you in a league...and if so, are there any lower that need help?
you take the difference between 150 plus skill points vs maxed skill points against 99 gear vs the stats of 101 gear and tell me which is a bigger difference. skill points wise i am stronger than i am gear wise and gear wise i am as strong as "needed" to progress. the only way to get my toon stronger gear wise now is the raids and this week i am already done. still got plenty of gear to go but i am sitting here with nothing to do? my alt role well i run three toons and all the support classes. dcuo does not need another dps. the exobits to mod both roles atop of that. yikes. so before id replay the raid get marks for my alt role and help a friend. now? i can reset the raids 100 times and still be in this exact spot. if i cant complete one set why replay so i no longer rerun raids as i did b4. legends pve lol who wants 1 board to grind? we have 3 now or so but are stuck in 1 to do every day. that sounds great i mean why be able to mix it up? so is chaseing styles by running the alerts which are the hardest ever to get a que for worth my sub fees? is this game still worth paying to grind feats like a thousand treasure chests worth it? what is the point of all the skill points when the disperity in gear is so huge. how long b4 one piece of gear gives more stats then our skill points?
This is the problem with Large Group DLC's and the Best gear being random drops. There is currently 3 raids to run, and that's it. My league has been dead for over a week cause there's nothing to log in for. At least when there's Smaller Group content, people are on doing stuff and a raid will form. As it is now, and with the other 2 Large Group DLC's, people log on - see no one (or not enough people) are on - then log out. The Large/Small DLC thing needs to go. End of story.
The 101 gear is chase gear, not guaranteed gear. Guaranteed gear is what's in the vendor. The stat difference in gear is almost as negligible as the difference in skill points. So if you think one does make a difference, so does the other. As I said, there's plenty to do...if you don't find that desirable then I would say come up with a constructive suggestion that the Devs could take action on. They made survival mode and Legends PvE to give people something else to do between DLCs. If you can creatively suggest something along those lines, they might be able to give us something. But if all you want to do is come to the forums and say "Devs, i'm bored...do something about it", you're not giving them much to work with.

I believe you can obtain at least 50 MoF per day just running the alerts, solos and duos. A complete style set can be completed within a week if you seriously grind for it. Problem is, people are too lazy to do what they need to become better. Then they sit and complain about the lack of pity from the developers.
I know; but games in general are very time consuming. It isn't like the game only has instances that equate to 10 MoF max per day. The options are there, the choice is ours.....
The style vendor is for people who have already finished the current tier vendor set. You aren't supposed to be getting both concurrently.
Very true. Although that's what I did sort of. I got a few pieces of 100 Gear, but some pieces would not drop for my main EVER (I only have the chest on my mental toon). So the few pieces that would not drop, I bought the style for from the style Vendor, while still working on my vendor gear. All the raids is 70 MoF so that's one rare piece, and the vendor gear was done with Daily Alert marks. I finished the style for the drops, now i'm 3 pieces away from finishing vendor gear...no rush.
I was tempted to do that as well, but my rationale for getting vendor gear first was 1) it will help with running and completing content 2) my luck as soon as I buy a style the gear equivalent will drop in a raid.
I call BS my guess by reading this your mad cause your not / can't run the Throne E. for 101 gear..The skill points do count...take 2 of the same class one with 150 and one with 200 in the same gear...guess what big diffence...Ohhh and welcome ot the fourms New member lol seems in 4 yearsof being a daily player you would of wanted to help imporve the game alot sooner but maybe thats just me But to improve this game Personaly i think they need to do away with this 4 dlc per year and make 2 big ones every 6 months instead of 1 every 3
You can always go run the alerts, raids, duos and solos for styles and things to do. There is always something to do. Stop complaining.
