Way to go!!! We finally got a tease for what to expect with the next episode! Thanks!!!

While it was a little latter than some expected (me), I see some teases for some really cool stuff...

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT DELUGE:

• Deluge will be a large-scale episode and event, with level-agnostic event versions of content available for a limited time.
• The episode will feature new and returning Atlantean heroes and villains, including Aquaman, Mera, Black Manta, Corum Rath, and more.
• The storyline will include a variety of singleplayer and multiplayer adventures set in Central City and in the all-new Spindrift Station, an Atlantean outpost deep beneath the sea.
• The episode will launch new player rewards, including new gear, styles, base items, and feats.
• In addition to new rewards and content, Deluge will include, update, and make permanent the content and rewards from the previous Starro The Conqueror event.

Personally, I'm excited to see Black Manta and cannot wait to see Spindrift Station.

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT SUPERMAN'S 80TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION:

• This celebration will be a series of new, free content additions, available to all players.
• The content will retell our version of the classic DEATH OF SUPERMAN storyline, in the world of DCUO.
• New and returning Superman-family characters will appear, including Superman, Lois Lane, Doomsday, and more.
• The celebration will launch new player rewards, including new gear, styles, base items, and feats.

One of my favorite, most memorable comic experiences was reading the DEATH OF SUPERMAN storyline!

How do the PLAYERS feel about the announcement and what are you most excited to see?

Looking forward to Deluge and REALLY looking forward to the 80th anniversary event.. THREE MONTHS OF STUFF? and that particular story line is one of my favorites.

About time.

New content is always a plus, and this dlc sounds interesting (poor central city seems to be the target for almost every major attack, or how deadpool would say it, "it's almost like the studio can't afford to use new locations" ), I'm more interested in actual features, like style unlocking, or any new features being planned, as well as stuff that enhances gameplay to make new content more enjoyable, like BALANCE CHANGES. Wake me up when that happens.

Yeah there will always be content but we need QoL changes and new features overall.

Are we going to see both Matrix and Linda show up in the Death of Superman story arc? Both held the name Supergirl.

I second THAT.. Still keep messing around trying to find an outfit I REALLY Like for Lady Nereides (that would be my water power alt lol) Nothing seems quite right.

I with the others. Very happy content will be released along with seasonals. Wonder how this will effect the Starro event though. I'd be much happier to learn about a time frame when weapons would be balanced, PvP revamp, and many other QoL updates needed.

Seems to me that the Starro event is being merged into this episode and major events are being axed. But then this Superman thing sounds like it’s a major event so I don’t know and just wasted your time. Sorry

A bit of ambiguity there, but that helps keep us guessing, I think they like it like that.

Death of superman led to a bunch of really great storylines: The reign of supermen, which led to Mogul and warworld destroying Coast City. That leads to Green Lantern and his becoming Parallax and even Zero Hour as an off-shoot.

It is an Epic Event. So..... no pressure there, NerdOfPrey!!!! HAHAHAHA!!

I’m a bit confused because multiple characters ingame state that all of that already happened in DCUO’s continuity.

That's easy to explain. This could easily be done as a backstory.

not my top wishes for content but not disappointing either. the devils in the details.

Think they will ever have an Atlantis ? Could be in a bubble with an aquarium back ground!

My impression is that the Death of Superman stuff is a new permanent addition to the game. Things like Area 51, the Fortress raids, etc were not part of a paid DLC; they’re just part of the basic game. I’m thinking Death is going to be like that. Just a guess, though.

A question on my mind - the location of Superman’s death was in front of the Daily Planet building. If they’re following the comics, does that mean we’re finally about to see an unbottled Daily Planet?

I know people hate cut scenes - but a full funeral cinematic.. i'd love that - and Doomsday coming back!!!
