That's fine...for you...and I'm not telling anyone how to play their game, but the dailies take me about 5 min to do, so if I don't spawn in at either :15 or :45 of the hour, I'm not doing the F5 unless I haven't done that mission this week. If you don't need the F5 that week, and wait more than just a minute or 2 for them to appear each day, sorry....that's spam...just a lot lower velocity of it.
I understand where you're coming from. I used to do the F5 stuff daily, sometimes even more than once. Lately, I do the weekly bounties once a week, when I do them. TBH, I'm usually not in Dakota anymore unless the STU queues are taking too long. Or unless I'm on my Atomic alt, and even then it's just to get the loot caches, so she can get better gear. And at the rate I'm going, I figure she should be CR150 and able to run STU the day before it ends.
I haven't ran anything from the shock dlc since 3x bonus. If you want to level up your atomic alt fast and efficient with minimal effort, then run the abandoned subway duo event every time you log in. Running solely that one duo is highly efficient as it drops you 3 pieces of gear in a matter of minutes. Then you can log back onto your main.

Lol… the game hasn’t been great in 8 years. Pretty much when SOE sold and stopped getting Sony money this game gradually got worse every single year. The developers for this game are so lost and just give you pathetic styles and terrible content every dlc. The same rehashed content in the same areas for the last 7 years. Takes 4 months or more for a dlc. Move on and let the game die already. It’s already in the coffin, let it be put into its grave already.
I come back to the forums ever so often to see if the game is heading in the same direction as it was when I left and….. well, it is and nothings changed. A super hero game based around super heroes and villains and yet no new powers, no new weapons, the same balance updates that been going for a decade now, same re used content for the last 7-8 years, same cheesy one shot mechanisms (yes, I read the forums I know it’s still there.) I can probably bet my life savings on that PvP is still laying in a graveyard somewhere. A game going on 13 years old and still running Unreal Engine 3………………. While Unreal Engine 5 has been released since 2020, the game needs to die and be shut down so another company can make an actual DCUO MMO and do it correctly like SOE used to do. A shame a game like this has such an amazing combat system and it’s being wasted for a company that does not care about their customers besides the green paper they have in their wallet.
People still have fun playing the game, otherwise they wouldn't be playing. So I say again: Let people enjoy things.

We can't even have a helpful positive thread without it devolving into a shouting rage filled rant fest? Geez. Anyway, my tips as a Tank to new people... 1. Always follow the Tank. 2. Always let the Tank attack first, and gain aggro before jumping in. General tips 3. Stop DPSing and pick up your teammates if they go down....don't assume someone else will. 4. Form groups for feats. Do not assume random Q groups will want to help with feats, some players are there for speed runs and counters. You can ask the group when you get in, but if they don't want to, or don't even respond, respect their right to play how they want. 5. Please Q as the role(s) you are willing to play. If you only want to DPS, select only DPS at the top of on duty. Yes, it Qs faster if you select both roles, but if you pick support, and don't intend to support, you hurt the group and potentially keep the group from completing the content...and will lead to a confrontation. Next to the person's name will be a faded support icon if they Qd as both DPS and support. If you don't see a secondary icon, don't expect or require them to switch roles.
Except... They didn't tell everyone not to enjoy it. They just spoke the cold hard truth, and it's up to the individual if they want to take it into consideration or not. Nowhere in his posts did he say to not play or not enjoy it, just looks like a warning about the state of the game "as-is" to not get one's hopes up to me.

" Don't waste your time." his words. not mine. &, as I said, he's perfectly entitled to feel like that about the game. but this is not the place. this is supposed to be a helpful thread to give new players tips. if he wants to go start a thread slagging the game off, he's welcome to do just that. I'll probably end up putting me own two bob's worth in there, too. I got stuff I don't like about the game. go start that thread & we can agree about sh*t there. but this is a thread that's supposed to offer helpful friendly advice to new players. instead of banging on about how terrible everything is, why not offer some advice to help new players avoid or work-around those terrible things? he's entitled fully to his own opinion, but his opinion adds nothing of use to anyone at all right here / right now. here, it just comes across as mean-spirited.

Not sure the point you are trying to make. You said he didn't say anything of the sort....he did....pretty directly. And as Irvynnge mentioned, it's not a topic for THIS particular thread. Let's get a 'bash the game' thread going elsewhere if that's a topic needing discussion. I got 2 cents for that too. OR bash the clamp!
Well I had been referring to the post by him that I saw. He had multiple posts and I only saw one in which did not tell people to not play. When I read "let it die", I automatically thought he was referring to that of the developers because, well, it's in their hands not ours. Pointing out the games current flaws or direction for what it is isn't "bashing", it just is what it is. Take it or leave it. Pretending it isn't so is hiding the truth from people. Edit: As in, "oh the sky is blue? Oh that sucks". "Oh they keep releasing rehashed stuff? Guess I'll have to be the judge if that's a good thing or not, but at least I know and wasn't lied to by other people masking it's occurence".
Lol... This game was "rehashing" stuff for years before it was even available on your platform. That "truth" must have been well "hidden" back then, huh? I guess it only bothers you now, after you've spent a lot more time playing it than is wise. Or maybe you were expecting the game to feel fresh and new - like it was when you first played it - forever. And it's everyone else's fault that it doesn't. Stop chasing the dragon like an addict and find a new and better hobby, since this one is clearly making you bitter and miserable and you seem desperate to make sure nobody else enjoys it. All it takes is bit of willpower...
