Good tips for new players.

FWIW, Gizmo copters will be the first episode 'count' feat I won't have done by the end of the episode since maybe Trigon or WOL1 when I first subbed up and got access to episodes.

Chasing down the bugs last episode almost failed, but I knocked it out about 2 weeks before the end of the episode. I don't see that happening here.

Well, I play on pc and the price difference might be different from PS. At least on PC it's worth it and you'll always have active detectors and caches, in addition to the 125% bonus Nth metal drop.

    It's worth it over here.

You don't have to be a completionist, they are easy feats that just take a little time to complete. Many old players don't have them simply because they don't start or don't continue.

    Procrastination in dcuo.

Daily feats can be boring but they are very simple, I recommend new players to do them. Those from Death Metal Washington, for example, reward you with supply drops of lanterns.

But they are so simple to do, just a few minutes a day and eventually you will complete them all, even when you are idly building a team or waiting for someone, you can do them.

Sure. I'll put rubber bands on my controller and you can kill them for me as I run in circles....cause I'll be bored to sleep before the first 99 pops. I'll hit you up if I sign in this week.

Lol when i did that i was trying to help the group taking, but some players dont put effort on that. Some of my league mates even jokes about that, they say: the comunist group, you do the feat and i just stand still looking if you are doing your work lol.

Feats are becoming meaningless when we can complete all new contents on day 1. We'll eventually reach 1000 sp one day, but what's the point?

Unless the those counting feat comes with additional perks, I wouldn't log in to complete them.

It's great that nth detectors works for PC players, but a majority of players are on PS. PC merged with PS due to their population issues.

A majority of feats in the game are all easy not just the counting feats. Counting feats are time consuming and takes longer when new players does it on their own in a dead zone. How many times do LPVE counting feats need to be completed even though they are easy? 4000 times? Was it 1000 reapers in CC, its been a while and I don't recall?

Dang, harsh. I was just gonna simply write "run"... "Run away"...

Amazing guide though, hope it helps the right people (now if only we could get most of them to even join the forum... As in Xbox..)

I don't mind count feats that are part of what we should be doing if running content. Things like knocking out the guards in the new alert, or monsters in the GP one, those will happen just by playing the game. Any counts I have to go do strictly for the count feats are pointless filler.

Even the boss bounty counts, if you wanted to do one a week over a year, you'd get them done just doing the weekly mission and no extras. Annoying, but part of what I signed on to do playing the game...you know...PLAYING the content.

Those are the best one. The ones that you naturally achieve while progressing through the game.

The bounty count should go up to 10, not 50 or 75 since most players would be fully geared by then.

A few between each bounty, as you wait for spawns, is a great way too.. especially in current ep.

I actually have the reverse experience. I think the copters is easy to do between bounties when I was farming schematics. I have it on all 3 of my end game people. I think I was around 500 bugs when I quit that one.

Really? It was one of the earlier feats I got on my main, and at least one of my new alts got it. Basically, once I've completed the daily bounties, I just circle around blowing up Gizmo toys while I'm waiting for the F5 bosses to spawn. It's slightly less boring than just sitting around watching everyone else flex.

LPvE holds no attraction for me, so yeah, I'll never have those. I mean, even if they were something realistic, I still wouldn't bother with them. And the CC reapers, maybe someday, but I'm not going out of my way to do it. That's why I was talking specifically about current episode count feats. Most of them you'll get just from doing the content. The only ones I can think of where you have to go out of your way are the chemlings ones (where you have to defeat the parademons next to the chemical canisters, and then not activate the barrels) and the Gizmo toys feats.

Similar response so I'll group you guys.

I don't wait around for bounties. I do whatever one is up when I'm in Dakota IF I am in a good phase. I don't spam, so I have no 'downtime' between these things. I hit the copters at the bottom of the tower where the mission givers are, and if I do the 5, I'll hit the 2 on either end of the fight zone there as these are right where I'm at. I don't farm currency above and beyond running my missions and maybe knocking out an extra bounty if it goes off WHILE I'm doing those missions. I'm in...and out. Less 'in' lately...I haven't played more than 3 hours in the last 2 weeks. Mindlessly killing Gizmo blimps which have no attachment to ANY mission I'm supposed to be doing won't be what I spend those 3 hours on.

And the only reason I got the bugs is anytime I'd see a group saying 'need bodies for squishing bugs feat', I'd join while I was doing my dallies, then drop group immediately after...about 4 min a session I'd guess. I'd bet the only way I'd finish the blimps is the same way, however as Dakota city is more spread out, the credit radius probably means I'd get very few each time, and I haven't seen many people shouting for groups...but again...I've hardly been on.

Solid thread! I'd suggest if you're newer and have the time and temperament to do a regular bite-sized amount of the icky counting feats being mentioned, go for it. Fight against the urge to babysit your count. May need to peek here and there to be sure you aren't glitched though. Hide that sp progress bar on your interface, too. Surprise yourself sometimes and stay aware of your burnout threshold. Welcome to the game!

I was speaking more in general across the span of the game as this thread is geared toward new players.

Counting feats should be tied into our gameplay. 50 copter/50 blimps is more realistic as I can see us running into that number as we level up. Chemlings number should be tied to our daily quest. Let's say we play 30 days worth of daily mission and within those 30 days, it should cover all the individual counting feats. We shouldn't have to check the count ourselves as the count feat would auto pop before we're fully leveled. Anything else is extracurricular.

I don't spam the Dakota bounties anymore, either. But I can usually knock out the daily bounties while waiting for one F5 group to spawn. The downtime is when I go after the Gizmo toys (on the alts that don't have the feats). My main alt had the 99 counts the second or third day (though in her case, I was also waiting for the SttS On Duty instances to pop, as well -- and I'd found a decent spot in a low-population phase).
