IMO the best bit of this image is all the Titans gathered around and interacting directly with him and his art. Starfire adjusting the light for him,Wally holding that smaller sketch or note, Gar working on it with him, Dick in his "Discowing" look (which I have the figure of on my shelf right by me rn) and holding his classic Robin suit, and Donna, Vic, Raven, Terra, and numerous other characters just simply admiring both him and his work. Also, there's just such a beauty to having all these heroes and villains alike coming together for once all to celebrate him.

Also.... a lot of these character designs are suuuuper 80's but like... in a very particular way that makes them also work now in a whole other way with the nostalgic, retro aesthetic. In fact, some arguably even work even better now due to that than they did at the time. A lot of these designs have aged like fine wine, largely due to nostalgia and the history of the medium they represent, like Alan Scott, Jay Garrick, Wildcat, etc. Really speaks to Perez's artistry that many of these characters still have the same or very similar designs to this day because they're THAT iconic and beloved that that's just what those characters are no matter how much time passes or how many new generations pick up these comics. I'm seeing a lot of designs that are the exact same ones as action figures I have or intend to get, some of which were produced quite recently or at least quite a while after the designs were first introduced. It's always so weird to be reminded of how the people responsible for defining so much about particular mediums, characters, genres, etc. are also mortal. The concept of figures like this eventually dying is always just so hard to fathom, even years after. It's also weird when it happens and everyone starts talking about it and you just suddenly realize just how influential and important they really are and just how much they've done. Such a truly beautiful homage. <3
