    It depends on how nit-picky you want to be with the terms. Those who changed the DNS info, assuming they had the background and expertise to inflict said change, should have known the impact it would have on ISPs and their schedules denying access to players.

    One way around that and still adhering to our agreement would be an announcement similar in nature to the maintenance announcements we receive. An announcement to the effect of: "SOE is conducting maintenance that may limit or deny access to SOE accounts for the next 48 hours. The maintenance may affect all SOE services including game access."

    What do you mean by daily players? :confused:

    I'm premium myself and know a few others that are premium and play every day until life gets in the way, take a break and play when they can.

    I'm happy for when life gets in the way sometimes, I don't have to worry about canceling any subs, everything is just there. Also, I remember someone from a league that I was in, is premium with all the DLC(s) and buys things whenever needed.

    This is why, on the flip side, we NEVER will get anything nice from the publisher or developer. A situation which was partially out of their control caused the issue they've had with people not being able to access the game. As a "make good" to the majority of those who were inconvenienced, the developers added 2 extra days to anyone who was an established subscriber (LEGENDARY) to the game -- whether those individuals have logged into the game or not -- because it is something they can do that would not be disruptive to the rest of their operation.

    Keep in mind the publisher or developer are not legally or morally bound to do this; instead they did it because they felt like it would be the right thing to do. So to have people complain when they weren't entitled to anything more than an update and maybe an apology is the sort of self-entitled garbage which tells the publisher and developer where they are in the relationship with their community and that in the future, they'll reconsider what they do when there are outages not of their own making.

    Personally speaking, I appreciate the extra two days because it's an extra two days I don't have to pay for. Does it make a huge difference in how I play or when? Not really but I can appreciate the gesture, accept it as such, and move on without complaining or whining...

    For those who are Premium or Free, you chose to be premium or free and due to how their system is managed, there's not a lot they can do for you. It is what it is and SOE is going to look after their active paying customers first. This is not to say you aren't important but, rather, that your monies aren't as consistent as the guys who've paid for subscriptions and who are active without spending the time to look at each and every account (which would take too much time). I empathize with those feeling left out but only a little bit because, at the end of the day, people choose to either play this game or not.

    Giving a free 2 days is more than enough. Especially since some of us did not experience any problems at all.

    Being in Software development, I know that unexpected stuff happens all of the time. Especially with a system as large as this one, with a massive user base that is constantly active. The fact that they try to solve these problems quickly at likely terrible hours of the night/morning for them, and then are nice enough to reimburse those who might have only been tangentially affected is pretty awesome. They deserve a lot more praise than they seem to be getting.

    Premium I could say should get something but not the same a legendary. Free players can stuff it.

    Also why are you guys complaining are anyone of you not able to actually log in. I was able to get on mid afternoon yesterday only 1 of my friends still cant get on the game.

    Thank you, I'm not legendary and I chose to be premium and I honestly like it. I don't feel as if I'm missing out on anything, so IMO, people should be happy that they're getting 2 days free without having to pay for anything, to those that complain, try and have fun with the game, I know there is bugs going on like the bug in TP, however, it didn't stop me from having fun. Yes, there are times when people get disconnected in a raid or whatever, guys, it all depends on how YOU react to the problem, either make it let you go sour and complain about the game or try to have fun.

    It sucks when things like this happen, however, there's going to be faults, I'm still learning about this game over here, however, be happy. They try to make you guys happy, people ask for more content, a new dlc is coming out and what do I see, people complain about it, some don't. Have fun with this video game, you guys know you had some fun times playing this game.

    There are a few people that seem to be forgetting the last time we had a few days of wonky service. They gave us 50 replays and there was a thread just like this one saying it was a joke and people were outraged. No what what they do people are going to gripe and complain how "inconvenienced" they are.

    :rolleyes: Explain to me how in any way my response to your post has any bearing on how well the community treats others. Plus you don't know me and have no idea on any prior posts that I've made in other threads regarding premium and legendary if you had you would know that I was one of the first to voice my distaste on the cost of the T6 gear prior to it's release on live which was more than the $2000 premium cap.

    I apologize if I came on as ignorant or defensive in any of my posts. It just confuses me as to why DCUO wouldn't compensate all of their players, no matter what their status is in the game. I understand that Legendary players have it the worst, as they have lost time, money, and game play.

    I just think that everyone deserves a something because of this. As Premium and Free-to-Play players, we've lost some things too and I simply feel like we should get compensation; however, not to the extent of the Legendary players, that would seem unfair.

    The only thing you were shorted on was the seasonal and that was extended by a week.

    I had to do yard work. I want more than 2 measley days :p For real though I appreciate the gift. The devs did not have to do this and thank you Mepperino and El Spytle :) You guys are the bomb.

    (Time Traveler shoulders would be sweet but if I hold my breath any longer I'll suffocate to death)

    Nope...sorry, you don't speak for me.

    I'm premium....I expect nothing in terms of compensation for an issue that didn't cause me any problems. Even if I was legendary, I still wouldn't expect anything.

    **** happens occasionaly, the world won't end because I theoretically couldn't play a computer game for a day or two.

    Has anyone complaining about this ever played a subscription based MMO? Usually they will credit your account for downtime if its more than a day. This is the first time SoE has ever done it for DCUO. Except for the downtime for the hack on PSN. They really don't have to give anything but most companies do. Free and premium players don't lose anything for downtime. They can play for a whole year for the price of the DLC. Subscription players pay to access the servers or benefits for a set amount of time. That time was cut and they are being reimbursed.

    Good timing. I had zero downtime with this whole thing and I planned on dropping my sub, again, at the end of this cycle. I'll take 2 extra days, sure, why not.

    Except for the fact that all premium and ftp players recieved a month of free legendary during christmas. What did I (a legendary player who supports the game with money) get? A ******* Tombot trinket.

    Not really complaining about what I recieved, I'm just showing that your complaint is invalid.
