FNL Tour: Living Legends III ( 1v1 )

RULES:

• PLAYERS ON USPC ONLY.
  
• 1-person teams must sign up at http://fnltour.challonge.com/LLIII
  
• Team Captains please use your characters name, Your Name First. (I.E. Teams SPYTLE, MEPPS, Daddio, Oiddad or FOXY.)
  
• Please use in game names.
  
• No inappropriate names or league names will be allowed. (May be banned from competition)
  
• Winning team Captain will report WIN to Daddio or Oiddad in FNL Chat who will then report your win on http://fnltour.challonge.com/LLIII.
  
• All matches will take place in 1v1 Shadowlands scrimmages.
  
• Captain in top of bracket sends scrimmage request to the Captain in bottom of bracket.
  
• Please add the FNL in game chat channel to your channels.
  
• Do not start matches until instructed by Oiddad or Daddio in the FNL channel
  
• Other Legal stuff here

PRIZES:

TIME AND PLACE:

• All matches will take place on Friday, January 24th, 2014
  
• 3:30 Pacific will be the start of all matches. finish time is unknown
  
• Initial matches must be completed within 15 minutes of start time or Forfeit will be reported
  
• Registration closes on Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 or when full.
  
• Players can choose to meet up at the Superman Statue in the PVE phase.
  
• All instruction shall be given in FNL chat, please have it enabled.
  
• Please phase with Oiddad or Daddio for instructions.

A 1v1 tournament will be cool & I look forward to it, I think most people who enjoy 1v1 would prefer straight DM fights on batcave (or even just batcave) though. Shadowlands isn't regarded as the best of maps for a competitive game. Same with lairs

If we dressed up as Legend Characters could we do a arenas tournament then?

I really stink at 1v1 for some reason, but I'll still try and make the tourney. While shadowlands isn't the public favorite, it is a nice change from Batcave and Inner Sanctum. Also, I don't expect to see the same FOTM characters in this format.

Well you'll be disappointed because WW is the most OP 1v1 legend in the game right now, Steel's still strong & super easy to play and Catwoman will also be one of the best. Two-Face too if his health hasn't changed. It's pretty much the same

The main reason people don't love Shadowlands for competitive play is that spawns can have a huge role to play in the map & the NPCs end up detracting from the "1v1" aspect. Sure they don't make a HUGE difference, but their attacks are pretty much the equivalent of a very strong constant dot and will make a huge difference in fights between fairly even players.

I agree with Obsidian's quote above, I could dress my character up as a legend and we could run 1v1 arenas instead? It would be nice for me, since I would be taking all that SC home if that was the case.

I propose, if the armory glitch is not fixed in time, that all players seen using it are disqualified from the tourney.

Dude if they are stupid enough to use it while in the tournament with it being broadcasted on FNL I say let em do it. Because the expression on Spytle's face when he has the joy of kicking them out of the game personally would be beyond epic.

LOL First live FNL Ban for someone stupid enuff to do it in the Tourney.

What about during the untelevised matches?

All it would take is one person in a match letting others in the FNL channel know what is happening. I bet Spytle would break off the current match in a heart beat just to go. "Hey guys, want to see something funny. Watch this...KICKED." lol. I could just see it now. Spytle wouldn't say it on air but you know he'd be thinking "Get that sh*t out of here."
