The title says it all. With the last update, pvp is functionally unplayable. Gear, expertise, roles are now grossly irrelevant as arena play no longer obeys any rule. Without scaling, with weird damage spikes, and roles being absolutely unfit for pvp play, the experience is no longer sometimes unbalanced, it is now mostly un entertaining and downright unpleasant. As I said before, it is one thing to not invest time in pvp, it is quite another to progressively render a feature that you keep in the game functionally unusable. Restore scaling and abolish roles, simple changes that have happened before and worked well, or simply remove arena pvp. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. You cannot keep a game feature that is broken. Make a choice, or at least address the issue as of the current build.
I'm sure they're hoping we just forget about PvP so it can slowwwwly dissipate. That way all they have to focus on is PvP, which is why PvP gear is available to PvE players, I'm afraid we have lost this battle.
If they don't fix it, then they should remove it. There's no "lost battle" here. There's a broken feature in the game. Before two weeks ago, you could derive enjoyment from it. Now it is fundamentally impossible. Correct the issues or remove the broken features from the game. What they're doing right now (silence, but maintaining the broken features in the game hoping to placate us) is a dishonest commercial practice. It is morally objectionable.
The fact you find entertainment value in DC Comics (and other media) is coincidence. It's created intended as social brainwashing to influence impressionable minds into seeing the depiction of society as presented by DC Comics lore as reasonable, and conditions them to accept parallel real life conditions and scenarios as natural in terms of the human condition. It is a state in which the suspension of natural sense is achieved through constant and repetitious reinforcing of the illogical, until it is seen as plausible. That is why the facade of the entertainment industry exists. Any real amusement derived from such products is a delusional belief state particular to an individual's psyche susceptibility. So there's more to the bottom line than money.
