This is GREAT!
Matches actually last and damage is right where it needs to be.
Totally agree. Just got out of a 4v4. No 1 combo kills.
Very good time.
Now I wonder if I can survive in troll stance like I used to, just working their blue bar down with some well timed CC effects.
Played 2s two time, first time I face Fire Tank/Heal setup , the second time I get Heal/Troll setup, this was horrible..
This is a good update, but perhaps they should give us back RPS, because it gave us a chance to counter those "Heal/troll setup" waves
What, it's not the end of the world everyone thought it was? Shocker.
I had plenty of faith.
I think PUG 4s/5s are going to have to learn not running with troll and healer is a deathwish.
With the changes to taps, did that affect precision powers? Jackhammer and upheaval are too easy to sustain.
Agreed. I really want RPS to come back. This is a great start though. I played a few matches and didn't feel the need to punch a hole through my wall
K : D sitting pretty at 6.25:1. XD
Sorry, I'll refrain from gushing.
It's just that good.
Definitely something to build upon.
Fairly certain it was not suppose to effect precision powers. If it did it is definitely worth looking into and reporting.
Glad you are enjoying the changes Ivy.
Thanks for testing.
Sorry for being such a pain with our disagreements, everyone here cares about the game and wants it to succeed regardless of which path would be ideal.
Completely agree man.
There wasn't a single one of us Testing that went..."Pffffft screw RPS leave it like it is." We all share the opinion mostly of "Can I haz RPS back please?". We didn't fight too vocally for it right now because the Devs were very clear they were focused on damage for this pass but when they move onto support roles I hope we see some RPS.
Great start. When it comes time to get to the next round of changes, PVP is going to be even better. I'm hopeful DCUO will eventually have one of the best PVP systems out there.
Man, we dealt with a lot of **** testing I'm not going to bring up because it's the past but.. I'm pretty happy everyone likes the changes.
Could you guys trust us a little bit more when the next phase of testing is out?
Still too early to see if that little furore over the tap counter change from 3 to 5 was true about it being a completely unnecessary change to the counter mechanics.
Early hours yet, but I was completely expecting some people to have already created forums threads saying things along the lines of "Ah ha! See?! This tap counter change is nonsense!"
Surprise, surprise everybody. I'm about 85% happy with this update right now and agree it's a good start. To be completely honest, I had positive thoughts about it the entire time. Yes, believe it or not, I did.
So far, I've experienced and seen the 5 taps is making 1s very stale and predictable as I was worried about. I saw at least two duels earlier where both players were using 1H and the spent practically the entire time tapping away on each other waiting for the other guy to block. Probably not the best of players, but still something I figured would happen.
As for arenas, I'm getting some people telling me they could stop to eat a sandwich during some 5v5s they've done because damage is so low. Not saying the damage reduction was a bad thing! Don't crucify me. lol Just think maybe it could be bumped up just a bit.
Again, over all, 85% happy with everything so far. Still feel some of the WM combos were reduced a bit to much. Especially the longer, more difficult to execute, ones. Overall though, I'm happy.
Sounds like an oldschool Orbit pvp video lol.
1H is easy to back someone into a block. It's always been too easy with 1h.
