Fire: Stoke Flames <-> Spont. Combustion?

    Hello,

First of all, I love this game. I started the game as Fire with my fiancee (who made an Ice character). We thought it would be cute to have Fire/Ice powers. Little did we know about roles and that stuff. Anyways, she took the role of Tank, and given the nature of pre-T5 raids (1 Tank, 3 DPS, 2H, 2C), I made my toon a DPS (I was SuperSpeed also).

The revamp killed the toon for me, but didn't quit the game. Instead, I created a Gadgets Troll and a Nature Healer, and got both to CR88. Decided to go back to my Fire toon, but this time focus on Tank instead. SuperSpeed wasn't doing anything for me, so after finishing my race feats, I changed to Flight. Low Pressure is a great pull and I'm glad I changed (the Tactical Feet Mod that allows the combo into Dive is mega-fun, useful & stylish).

Anyways, I don't know if this has been discussed before, but shouldn't Stoke Flames & Spont. Combustions be switched in the tree? They seem out of place: Stoke Flames feels like a Tank move, but to get it, you need to purchase DPS moves; on the other hand, Spont.Comb is a DPS move, but to get it, you need to purchase Tank moves. This makes getting innates extremely difficult without compromising your loadout.

Also, Eternal Flame seems weak for a %100 Supercharge. Even the Ice Golem SC got down to %50 and the benefits are bigger. Eternal Flame seems to short.

I'm still trying to find a power distribution on my Fire toon where I'm happy. With Nature & Gadgets, I'm extremely comfortable with my load-outs and still have more than enough points for innate. My Healer has a pure Healing loadout and I still have 7 points for innates. With Gadgets, I had my loadout set with just 7 PP that I had enough for my innates, then I went back and got some back up powers for debuff certain raids.

I don't know what is SOE position on this and if having the tree this way serves a purpose. I just find the other trees better distributed. My fiancee has 3 toons also: Ice, Mental & Sorcery. I'm the one that builds her toons and I also have no problem spending the points on stuff that is useful and still have more than enough for innates (Mental is crazy btw, great tree, great power).

Thanks for anyone reading this, please share your thoughts.

Yea it has been brought up before many times after revamp mainly with overheat and burnout. However I fire dps and always use the HP, Def/ Tough, Vit/ Power, Crit chance, and Crit damage boost inates from iconic tree so I have all the powers I need to do damage plus plenty left over its just a matter building your loadout for specific needs. As a fire tank only SC you need is reignition while eternal flame gives alot of boost that would be considered for a tank it can do some very high damage as a dps. Its nice you have the tact mods they are very useful especially for fire heres what I use for tanking; Weap mod- regenative adaptor (chance to heal you and group members based off of your dom and resto), Neck mod- fortified blocking, Back mod- regenative breakout (also heals you based off of resto and dom), Feet mod- depends on movement but usually deadly block, Chest mod- extended supercharge ( with full bar you can do 5 reignitons back to back), Hand mod- regenative shielding (if you get Hard light shield from iconic tree, most tanks do).

So yea that should help you so you wont need to scatter your power points trying to get all of fires self heals. You only really need enflame, flashpoint, burnout, backdraft, and reigniton to be a good fire tank everything else is optional so getting just that you have 6 free power points to use as want.

Your exactly right, I honestly don't understand why the fire community isn't calling for a fix, or why the devs just ignore these obvious flaws. I'm am hopeful that the devs will do something about it in the next revamp of sorcery and nature, but I doubt it.

we asked for it in many threads and many posts after the update, it isn't going to happen
