ofcorse we are have you seen the droprate on any aura at the moment......... I use to give the stuff away for free to random players because there where so many of them in the drops, I have not seen one for over a month and a half.

Anyone know if their is any idea to stack up on boxes for a new aura or will it only be able to get it from they new boxes after patch?
You can stack up on boxes right now. When they update the game the boxes you have saved will update as well. I currently have 5 boxes in my bank with 23 days left before they expire. Hopefully GU34 is next week or the week after next.
Probably boxes from after the patch but I don't see any harm in saving up your boxes, just to be safe.
it's phrased like this in the patch notes: Green Aura! It’s good to be Green! An all new Green Aura has been added to Promethium Lockboxes! The Green Aura appears like the other Auras in game and has the same drop chance. Considering it's being 'added to' and there are no additional item changes to the boxes - I'm going out on a limb and saving them...currently at 16....
