Long day at work, came home and the kids were in the pool... hung out, had a blast, finally get in.. need to eat first. Wife made my favorite, sweet. Take a shower, get all that chlorine off me, get comfortable, sit down, get the client downloaded, make a character... cool looking Marauder... get set to play... all servers are full. Wow. I know they're stress testing, and I know it's a beta... but a que system or something.... </sigh>. On a funny note... my wife walks down to the den on the way to the basement, see's me with my character and not playing, hear's out my issue, and responds with ... "..what, now they're penalizing you for having a life?" ... I lost it, lol.
Dear SquareEnix: I just logged off of FFXIV. Please let Duragon take my place. Thank you. (You're not missing much - huge lag, disappearing NPCs and players, and I've probably disconnected seven times in the last few hours)

I wonder how much of a hit dc is going to take from this? Like really though? Anyone who actually plays an mmo at least checked this out...majority had to(to all you "not everyone BLAH" people). I doubt it would be the death of dc but very easily could hurt them. They gotta be sweating
o_o You wont see the hit till it goes live though. Even then, I'll probably play dc get ll'd on raids then ff! I only run two raids so whatevs
Hence the issue with dc, people only log in once a week run the two raids and are gone the rest of the week, so yes dc will be hurting, sht this happens now, wait until ff14 goes live, along with GTA 5 and its online gameplay. Been on this game for 2 years and have seen a steady decline in players and the players skill levels, say what you want but dc has been in decline for a while. Yes more people log in blah blah blah, but how many stay for the long haul? not many if any. Its a free to play game of course its going to have new people everyday how many stay? Free realms anybody
Me too, There's really nothing more to do on DC once you have the amount of skill points you are satisfied with besides nexus/paradox and even now i dread doing paradox cause of unskilled players bringing in adds to wipe the team. I just made a character on Adomantoise NA server, only had liek 3 servers to choose form cause everything else was packed.
hey ya'll. does anyone here know what is the plan for FFIX moving to ps4, if any? ... i'm considering getting into the game, but i'm not sure i'll want to commit to a game that i would have to play on ps3 past this year. thanks.
I believe they have plans to do so but I haven't found out on that. I was planning to wait until the PS4 version myself (not really gonna play it right away due to current time restraints).

It always moves over with the systems. You download it to the PS4 like you did with PS3 when it was on the PS2. You will be able to use your PC account on the PS3 or PS4 as well like the other versions. Same goes other way around you will be able to play your PS3 version on PC. You got to remember also PC and PS3 and PS4 will all play together. DC is not the same as FF11 or this because they did not try to have merged servers. PS2 and PS3 was actually faster then PC at getting HNM because of it not having lag. If you play this game on a PS3 you will not have lag at all. A PC will have more lag then you will. Is why it sounds crazy when they say that PS3 cannot handle DC. PS2 handled ff11 fine. It had more areas and more of everything then this game ever did. The pvp and everything even partying was not bad as the rest of the other MMO's. Only thing FF11 has over this is mac and xbox 360 all are able to play with PC and PS3 merged together. Gaikai being added also. You might be able to play it on vita too.
It now dc just as much as this game. What's worse is the server still thinks your toon is still logged in and you cant relog until an hour later when the server autokicks anybody else find this?
^ Thats the linkdeath function I think. I ran into it but only for a couple of minutes. I honestly can say I have had almost 0 issues. The only problem I have is with the map and the way its laid out, other than that the game has been golden for me. No disconnects, no freezes. I did run into some heavy lag when I first arrived at Limsa Limnosa and the 100000000 carbies walking around, but once you know what is causing it you know how to avoid it. Well, after the whole server limited on opening day debacle, a real life tragedy prevented me from communicating with real life friends and now all 6 of my buddies are on Diabolos server, with 2 more coming on release day. Although I've made the character to stay with my friends, the tragedy has kept me from playing. I'm sure all of you are enjoying the game, wish I was there. If anyone on Diabolos wants to look me up, name is Duragon Stillwind, Marauder.
