I support this message. Although I am running out of stuff to do, but that's my fault... 126/129sp. DC might be my all time favorite game... But that ol' Punch Out! #itsveryexpensivetho
Well ... As a Brazilian is hard for me to have a say in this matter, at least with regard to my country! Since there are other factors affecting the output of players such as the high dollar! But one thing that has helped is the fact that we can use the steam! Other forms of payment which is not only international card would help a lot too! But surely something that would make many, many players come to this game, regardless of the money, it would be if it had subtitles and interface in Portuguese ...
Always enjoyed your threads. For me... well I'm on a break at the very least. Whether or not I'll be back is... well who knows. There came a point a few weeks ago as I was browsing the forums, while being logged onto my third character of the day (due to lack of relevancy and slow queues) and I caught some comments from the devs on here. I just sort of stared at them and then closed the game and haven't opened it since. I stuck out the changes I didn't like in the hopes that I'd see some sort of fix to address them, but to no avail. DCUO has a fantastic IP. The combat is (at least in theory) great and things like being able to fly around all of Gotham and Metropolis are truly awesome. I had a lot of fun. The F2P model is awful compared to others out there. It was, again and again, something that put people off before they even tried the game. Friends of mine that loved MMOs point blank refused to try DCUO because of the restrictions on F2P/Premium players - all players who were happy to throw money into games they enjoyed. There isn't really much to do other than hit monsters. I mean you have PvE (hitting monsters), PvP (hitting other players), Legends (hitting other players/monsters while dressed up) and pretty much the only thing you can do to take a break from that is fly around in circles looking for collectibles/exobits. The information in game is verging on non-existent. It leaves a lot of new players essentially fumbling around in the dark. it shouldn't be necessary to leave the game and hunt down info just to get to grips with the basics. This results in a lot of new players getting yelled at, randomly kicked and generally the game becomes a very unfriendly place for them - often resulting in them leaving. Meh... there's so much more I could write, but honestly I can't be bothered. I thought I'd take a last look at the forums since I had to check back in and make sure I'd cancelled my sub. I'd like to hope in future they look to bringing back some longevity and value to the content they already have, add in some non-combat related activities and finally get some tutorials jammed in there. I'd like to see them look at the core things that make people continue to come back to MMO type games (most of which seem to be the things they are gradually removing from the game imo). Failing that I'll be back for DCUO 2. All the best and have fun.
Seeing what you wrote, I remembered one day that I was doing an alert T6 and a player got stuck in the ground! He was desperate! We spoke to him to warp rally! And he did not know what it was ...
PvP aside, the game is the best it's ever been for me. It's stable, it works and thanks to the PS4, prettier than ever. Back in 2011, that was not always the case, so big, HUGE, thumbs up in the tech department. Sure the PvP is a neglected mess of wasted potential and a mere shadow of it's former self (RIP No Man's Land). But, there is a staggering amount of quality PvE content to keep me logging in everyday. It's the best it's ever been. So for my money, everything is greatly improved from when I first picked up that PS3 controller and drooled on it as I watched the intro CG movie for the very first time in March 2011...except PvP. PvP kinda stinks right now and it hurts...bad.
If they can find a way to drop Ps3 or if it can just slowly die out, I think this game might be able to get pushed on the right path.
Summer, plus lacklustre last DLC, ESO ,old content not worth running and even a few I knowe left from the lack of consistency in punishment handed out to glitchers. Gear/feats taken away when glitching Thrones but HH nada.drove away a lot of people in my league and who I play regularly with. Some say they will be back others it was the final reason they needed to leave for good. nt.
lately? I think they are trying to do good by the high CR ppl by adding token of merits ect to lower content to replace the marks we would get if we were on-level. So I mean they are trying. But at the same time, the monthly content I fear wont hold alot of ppl due to its a raid and a duo. I mean a full DLC didnt keep ppl occupied so why would 1/3 of a DLC keep them busy? idk I am just happy AF to be getting new stuff tomorrow lol new DLC sooooon
yea I dont know, I think they should be stern with glitchers. either be 100% or nothing when it comes to the ToS.
