Fearful Day Furniture Request Thread

  1. Achikah All About That Base

I know it's just day one, but I'm in love with the new open world area. The art team absolutely knocked it out of the park once again and seeing such lovely assets and areas definitely inspired me to want to make my own.

While I am disappointed there aren't furniture items at launch, I am hopeful that there might be time for the team to add some in at a later date much like the Doom/Dark Knight DLCs in the form of a Cheetah Vendor add on/drop. If that's to happen, I wanted to make a thread requesting some key items I really enjoyed to be made into base items, as well as open it up for anyone else to add their own!

    Open World Flora
    • Water Lily Ponds (Large and Small variants)
    • Gnarled tentacle vines
    • Uprooted swamp trees
    • Mossy Trees
    • Fallen trees
    • Swamp tree stumps
    • Mogo Melon pods
    • All the florescent/light-up flora variants of the Alien Plants
    • Recolored Fungi/Living plants
    • Mogo rock formations
    Mogo Outpost Items
    • Green Laser Barriers from Kilowog's outpost
    • Mogo/Ranx trailers
    • Tent from the Refugee hideout
    • Mossy log benches from the refugee hideout
    • Blue Lantern Shrine table
    • Sliced Mogo Melon tables
    • Seed bags
    • Sapling in seed bags
    Mission Items
    • Anti Matter Skull variant Fear generators
    • Yellow Lantern scanning device
    • Recolored crystal formations (both yellow and blue variants)
    • Hopscotch Decal from the Lyssa Drak solo fight
    • Mogo Jungle Gym from the Lyssa Drak solo fight
    • Ranx/Mogo Wires from 2nd boss area
    • Ranx/Mogo Generators 2nd boss area
    • The interactive Yellow Lantern consoles during the alert/raid Amon Sur fight

Also, I know this one's a big ask, but I would LOVE a Mogo base theme from either the new cave system or the open world. Honestly, the best base theme would be a cave system with an open window platform of Mogo, much like the Sunstone Fortress had it's arctic veranda. -insert ShutUpAndTakeMyMoney.jpeg-

That's pretty much it for now! I'll add more as I play more I'm sure.
Thanks for reading and feel free to add any of your own furniture requests here to add to the list!

    Agreed!

Also some new waterfall base items would be nice. And a window of the surrounding sky and mountains from the skybox would be really cool.

That's be awesome! We never did get any Fearful totems from Survival like we did Willful/GL. The Sixth Dimension was close but not quite. If plausible, the Snakes would be an awesome larger mark buyable during the x2 currency weeks. I'd also settle for a cool reskin of the Snake Turret for my yellow lantern, haha!

Yesss! Water features and windows/skyboxes are always a favorite of decorators.

If we did get a base theme with a floorplan similar to the Sunstone Fortress: imagine a cavern, and then it leads to a central grotto. One side's more cavern, like fungi or crystals, other side's the back of a waterfall. You walk through the waterfall and BAM, terrace/overlook to a Mogo vista!

They basically gave us some of the plants for last seasonal, so I am kinda afraid they would simply skip giving us decorations for the episode/chapter, then put them to sell on Tides of War vendor so they cover 2 seasonals without doing extra work.:(
I would say got 99.9% chance this is what they doing

Ya, I agree. It does feels a lot of this year's Seasonal furniture offerings were double dipped from DLCs (Winter- Kaznia Trees/retextured Brainiac iconics, Anniversary- Harley vs Apok/Brainiac iconics, Spring- Fearful Day plants) while the DLCs themselves have had meager offerings. My first thought was also that Summer's furniture would be 'swamp' or 'rainforest' themed primarily after seeing Mogo, knowing Spring's Alien-plant offerings, and there being zero episode furniture. If that is the case, at least we'll be getting some really nice pieces for summer since Mogo is wonderful. However, not having it as episode content makes them harder to farm/obtain which is always bad for decorating a base, and for the deco community at large.

Even if that is the case (which it very well may not be), there's still the prospect of some lovely Mogo/Ranx items that could be added if the dev team finds the time, which is what it comes down to- time. Base things have definitely been on the backburner for awhile now, but I am hopeful things will pick back up; I'm sure the team wants us to have furniture as much as we do, it's just a pick and choose kind of thing when development restrictions/deadlines are looming.

So, I just wanted to put in some requests while things were fresh and remind the new team that if they can find the time, even if it's retroactive, players/decorators would love to have some of the new cool things they made so we can make more cool things!

Seconding Achikah's request - would love to see some of these base items.

    - Mogo Berries / plants
    - Green energy barriers from Killowog (if you could offer these in multiple colours it would be awesome!)

    - Green posts from zone entrance
    - GL floor pad (and Sinestro floor pad)
    - Green storage barrels from zone entrance
    - Green / Blue / Yellow crystals (throw in Red / Purple too why not)
    - Qwardian/Antimonitor tech
    - Glowing plants
    - Trees and vines (those mandrake style trees coming out of the lakes are great - and the tree stumps you can walk into)
    - Mogo treelines / canopies
    - Lily pads! PLEASE they are so cool
    - Sinestro Corps terminals
    - Corresponding GL Corps terminals

I want to second everything on this list, and add the Listening Device that you occasionally run into (and destroy for feats), the holographic projector (along with animated hologram -- you could have one of Esperanza and one of Esperanza and Saint Walker, like in the intro mission, and could even have hologram projectors showing other Lantern characters), and other Yellow Lantern items, like the terminals we have to hack during the forced-stealth section (not sure if those are the same as the ones from the alert/raid, as I haven't run those yet).

I agree with the list suggestions as well as Lantern Gblue's green crystal variant, I am updating my Oan Outpost and man I wish we had more of the mogo environmental stuff cuz it is a lovely open world. Definitely planning for next spring seasonal to grab the alien plants for this base hahah

I would like to add the Wisp of Hope ( as a base totem without the voice lines) we see in the solo as a reminder theres always hope, kinda like a spirit/essence of hope and our little Will-o'-the-Wisp and the Drop totem could always use a new Wisp friend!

As long as I don't have to craft them, add away!
The snakes could be cool, though...

Please please add some base items. There is a good portion of your player base that looks forward to new base items more then they look for new styles or materials.

All the techy stuff, and some of the crystals so I can sub it in for green kryptonite :).

These would go well with the previous GL items from events past.

I'd also tap in for a Mogo or Oan base for these to go with.

I'd like to add on to this topic with another issue. For me, as a base builder. if there are no base items in content, then as soon as it is not current content, I won't play it unless it pops in an omni.
I'd love to play these over and over as I truly love the art on mogo and actually really like playing the alert, but my goals in game are to build bases, so I will never purposely queue these if there is no furniture. When I am building a base, I set up ideas and then play instances for chances of getting the furniture I need to complete them. If there are no plans to add furniture then please consider unlocking the omni furniture pools and using that pool instead of the gen pool that is currently in use.

Still no sign of Base items? Should be be worried there is none?
  16. Achikah All About That Base

I wouldn't worry quite yet. Last time a DLC dropped without furniture it took a few months for the team to produce items that appeared on the Cheetah vendor. So it might take a bit a time before we see anything- it probably does take a minute to code already made assets into base items, as well as making them an in-game item.

Besides seconding all the requests in here, I also wanted to suggest making a full-sized version of the Yellow Lantern listening devices, meaning rather than having them at knee-height they'd be the same size as the Doomed Lex Terminals from the Doomed DC DLC found on the Cheetah vendor. My Yellow Lanterns would be so happy to actually have a yellow monitor for their bases.

Also, after having explored more, I'd really love some of the blue water flower patches found in the waterfall area. They look like Blue Cardinal Flowers and are just delightful!

I literally just now logged in to come and make a post about base items. May as well put it here if that’s cool!?
I’ll make my own post if that’s better.

Base items keep me playing. At the moment you have my daily login and like 10mins max playtime. Compare that to older episodes when I would run all my alts to see what base items I can nab that day. Because most times you could do with multiple to make them effective.

There’s nothing to keep playing for besides gear or mods, which is the main point of playing the episode no?
So if that’s all I can buy with current currency, and no new base items to farm, I have no reason to replay, play on alts or anything because there’s nothing else to get!

IF YOU WANT MY MONEY YOU HAVE TO GIVE ME SOMETHING OF VALUE TO BUY.

I have no reason to buy episode currency because I’m about to earn it for the gear over the episode.

Release a base theme that’s tied to the episode and episode currency!!

    Update cheetah.

This is my main issue with the game right now.
There looks to be a lot going on but actually there isn’t, the patrols are (recent!) old episodes that we just had. Put Earth 3 or something older, heck Wonderverse would’ve been more welcome imo because it was like 4/5 years ago.

Do us as solid and crank up my playtime by giving us base items please.

I think both of you summed up how the majority of the base community feels about this episode pretty succinctly. Between the inflated seasonal pricing, lower seasonal mark yield, and near barren DLC (and even seasonal) furniture the past year, there's nothing to keep us interested or really making bases. It's even more frustrating since the best thing about the past 2 DLCs have been the open world and new assets, and none for us to use for our bases. So, once this content isn't new, there'd be zero reason to return, whereas older DLCs have stayed extremely relevant for us who decorate for there unique furniture catalogs.

I do hope the devs takes note of this because it feels that this corner of the community has been overlooked for almost a year now, primarily after this the new team took over. I know I've stopped putting money into the game until base decorating is considered in the overall picture and seasonals aren't leveraged for currency sales. Until then, I'm here for the deco community but rarely am I playing the game past weeklies.
