Was having a pretty bad day and needed a laugh, so went to the good old Fire Stick and watch Robin Williams at the Met and Eddie Murphy Delirious and laughed non-stop for 2+ hours... Anyone have a a favorite stand up comedy that no matter how times you watch it, you always laugh like its your first time ?
Oh geez, where do I begin? I've got two Robin Williams DVDs I can go to (Live on Broadway and Weapons of Self Destruction) along with a few Jeff Dunham videos. Also have a couple of Steve Martin's comedy albums (Let's Get Small and A Wild and Crazy Guy) I can pop in and listen to as well. Beyond that? Always liked: Steven Wright Lewis Black Bob Nelson (worth looking up his routines) George Carlin Gabriel Iglesias Bill Engvall (both he and Iglesias are great storytelling comics) and countless others I can't quite remember from too much time spent watching Comedy Central and shows like HBO's Half Hour Comedy Hour.
Go to iTunes and rent (or buy) a film entitled "Dirty Jokes" by Gilbert Gottfried. Normally, stand-up comedians stay away from traditional setup, bridge, punchline jokes. Gilbert, being the pioneer he is, breaks this rule with 1+ hours of nothing but raunchy traditional jokes. You will never laugh so hard.
