I am looking forward to taking advantager of the double SM offered by this episode highlight... as soon as the server downtime/maintenance for the Name Reclaim.
I think the idea is to focus those that DO need things in that content for a week. Maybe not for you, or for me maybe....but there are new players and some old players who probably need BOP things and if it runs up the participation for a week, how is that bad? Just don't run it if you don't like it. I won't probably do any BOP runs unless they pop in omni, but I don't care that they have it. It would be good if they could go backwards a bit further though. Seems like it's always Titans and up that get the spotlights. It would be cool if they could spotlight sets like HOP, WOL or the AF3 content too. Even though I don't need any of those, it would be nice to see various different weeks.
I think they should expand it a little bit. Maybe include an entire Tier of content and specifically the older tiers like you mention in order to drive a bit of traffic there. You can get bored of a couple of instances pretty quick in a week and this way there would be a larger selection of stuff "some people don't have". It would also be nice to see the vendors get a bit of discount love in addition to just the gear set. All in all, I like most bonuses because I try and make them work for me but I think there are select things they can do to get some more love to those episodes you mentioned.
nearly all there can be buy with source marks now we get source marks from everywere so the focus of one episode seems abit strange...and lets be honest if u do bonus on all episodes that would help EVERYONE new ppl too bcs the can do alot more feats in diffrend areas the bigger picture for me is a bonus should be something all benefit from ....and btw i said it before and ido it again how many ppl care about helping lower bcs of this week now? ...
and btw is there any usefull reason why this discounts arent permanent ? the episodes are over why dont make the game abit easyer and say old content stuff half price?
The 50% discount is on top of the already discounted price the gear gets, when it drops off end game (I think it's 50% or more, but I'm not sure on that) And in addition to the 50% discount if you have the Style Feat (potentially useful for levelling Alts, since people seem to really like wasting source marks on gear)
Spotlight would be nice in 2 pairs.. Only bcuz of variety sake of rerunning.. Thanks for the spotlight!
