I was tanking today and getting hit for around 15-18k each tick. Crazy.
Its even more annoying with Black Adam, pulling adds, Pets, Sidekicks/Henchmen...

And seeing as others are saying the fire hits them for differents amounts of damage, is it health based? I mean...is it percentage?
  2. Scrub Well-Known Player

All i know is i could tank vandal without even putting my aura on and just push him against the wall...adam feels like 80pct scripted attacks and holding aggro is like trying to grab a greased up deaf guy (that was a reference since some of you would probably find some stupid reason take offence to that).

    Bug:

After the Vandal Savage Boss Fight is over, if you release Black Adam, Black Adam goes over to where Vandal Savage is knocked out and they trash talking each other, using combat dialogue.

It's actually kind of funny really because it reminds me of that scene in the Simpsons where Homer confronts George Bush and they're like "oh you want trouble? well you're gonna get trouble!" without actually fighting:

    Potential Bug:
The option to release Black Adam from the crystals only seems to occur during the last 5-10% of Vandal Savage's health during the final boss battle. Is this intended? I seem to recall on the test server, when it was first added, that Black Adam participated a lot more in that fight.

    Pretty sure it's percentage based.

Beat the elite on the 2nd attempt. The problem seems to be that it's hard to tell if the DoT is on you.

Fix the color on the fire in the elite 2nd boss people can't see it !!

I am really enjoying this alert. The elite version is even better. One thing I would adjust is the volume of Vixens voice when she informs the group of Adams shield that she uses. It's hard to hear her at times unless you're close to her.

The healing pools in the second boss fight move really fast and that makes it harder to heal and try to stand/find one of these.

I didn't find many problems with this alert so the testers did a pretty good job :)

Yeah, we had a rage guy with us...and well you know. He kept puking all over the place, but we beat it on 1st attempt.

Elite is too easy. Only real problem is second boss but even that is easy if everyone just runs around during the fire phase. It can still be done with 2 dps. I understand it's an alert but it should at least be at PZE level.

For the record, I could always see the fire (and the red streaks that preceded them).

I really enjoyed the Alert. I'm always a sucker for Iconic involvement, and this had a ton of it. Rip, Vandal, Vixen (who was awesome and should be in Legends), the 'Get Back' moment when you have to blow up the passage to the next room, the return to Khandaq - it was all so much fun.

Not being able to see the beam from the crystals that gives u the DoT, it not cleansing sometimes, and cleansing multiple times are the problems i see. The dmg the DoT is doing is fine imo. People handled it on test and it was even reduced before it went live. I dont think the dmg from that DoT should be reduced even more. This is the elite version and the last boss is really easy in elite. If u cant pass the elite version then u have the normal version to run.

Here it is. Guy in the black red hood jacket is wearing the head piece collection reward from the alert. Not the best pic but only 1 i got. It looks like a drum or basket on your head :p

yeah elite is not that hard.. 2nd boss you may just need to take the time to explain to your group what to do especially if you pug.

And make sure you have a good healer

Regular alert was ok....the Elite was much better imo. I had no problems seeing the red fire effects. It took my group 3 or 4 trys to figure out how to get through that fight. It just takes a bit to find a good rhythm imo. The first fight and last fight were a bit easy also....however the bombs in the first fight are just one shots and that is annoying especially towards the end of it. Overall not a bad alert...pugging the Elite version will not ever be a fun thing based solely on the second boss. My group ran in a 1-1-1-1 format and it went well.
  14. Drathmor Unwavering Player

the regular version seems to be right on the difficulty scale but the second boss in elite needs to be tuned just a tad to either not place the purple beam that puts the fire on you doesn't need to be so often or the pools in the floor shouldn't move so fast so that you have time to get to it to get cleansed. everything else seemed fine

Is it intended to get hit 3 times in a row by the fire? or that it can interrupt your AM, I'm Light and it's already hard enough having to deal with interruptions from Adam and adds, but the fire too it's just too much.

I'm adding a fix so that if you have the Eviscerating Fire, and are hit by another one, it won't re-apply the DOT (but you'll still have the 1st DOT).

It should make our next hotfix, which should be coming to Live in the next day or two.

It's a complicated issue, for technical reasons that I won't bore you with. That said, I'm adding generic white debuff FX to the Eviscerating Fire DOT to help better message you have it on you. I hope this fix will make the next hotfix, but there's a chance it won't (for reasons).

    Thanks for the report!

We're investigating the root cause here, and I don't believe I have a silver bullet solution right now. So what I'm doing to help make the Eviscerating Fireballs that come out of the crystal more identifiable is adding a chevron above them. So, you should always be able to see those tell icons even if you don't see the fireballs themselves. This should make it out with the next hotfix. Thanks for your help in pointing out this issue, and the additional info you gave!

I've got a fix for the bug you pointed out, and it should make the next hotfix. Thanks for the heads up on that! Regarding the 'potential bug', those crystals become attackable once the 2 priests that were channeling on the crystals join the fight. More priests come join the fight when the other ones in the fight already are defeated. So, that could happen when Vandal Savage is near defeat, or much earlier, depending on a bit of randomness behind the scenes.

During the regular alert last night, our group ran into an invincible add during the first part of the alert. We had to disband because we couldnt take the shield down to get into the first boss room because the add wouldnt take damage.
