The enhanced gear this time around had descriptions saying they would contribute points to elite affinities. If they dont now, then the devs probably stepped in and fixed the bug/mistake.
now.... keep in mind... i upgraded from the old owlsuit elite set. i already had the elite modules installed. and well....if this is a bug... boy, i'm going to miss my archaic owlsuit elite gear.
Agreed. In the past they have allowed you to get the 'Wear 8 pieces of Elite Gear' feat so you start getting certain collection drops. But I never saw this before either. For the record, the three pieces I've had dropped are well below what I'm currently wearing. So it made no difference to me.
That wasn't Elite Gear. It was along these lines... "Grants 1 SHAZAM NODULE" when worn. Wearing gear with 8 *SHAZAM NODULES* gives you *FEAT*". Similar to Shim'Tar et. al. Just a guess, but it makes sense as to why that kind of text would be there.
Well, if they are part of a "wear eight" feat there better be a way to get us back the gear we salvaged so we can do it.
Pls look at the pics provided by High Troller before posting and read carefully. Despite it being odd it says it on this gear, I thought maybe it was a new thing they were doing. Hence, whatever it says, it works that way with that specific gear.
He did. What he was describing was what they did in the past with TC gear during the AF3, AOJ, RwC, and E3 DLCs... how you had to wear gear where each item granted you a points of something like "Divine Favor." The only gear that would do this was either the TC gear or the top-end vendor gear (Fallen God, Blackhawk, Riddler, Owlsuit). Once you did that, you would get a 10 point feat that would cause the OP collections to start dropping for you, and yes... you could replay this feat across your alts so they would also be eligible for the drops. The premise is that the devs mistakenly added the part about "elite affinities," but had in mind the old descriptions about Divine Favor, Street Cred, etc. TC gear has never granted elite affinities... only a way to get OP collections to start dropping.
They havent done that type of thing in awhile and that was usually to tie into the current dlc for extra marks which the devs do not do anymore. So that idea is kinda outdated. The description kinda speaks for itself.
Yeah that ideal was an old way to reward extra marks or a better drop chance with OP collections...they decided to just give everyone a better chance at the OP collections from the start about 3-4 dlc ago and they have introduce bonus mark weeks to reward more marks. So they havent had need for a feat like that because of the reasons above.
It figures a ninja fix would happen after it was found out to not work despite what the gear description said.
