Hi, I am using mental. When I am in open world like infernal Kandaq and using mass levitation followed by Kyrokinesis, i can encase opponents. But this does not work in Duo, Alerts and Raids of the actual episode (i.e. ROE). Dominance should not have an effect here as the encasing is not one of the 3 debuffs. Is this intended? Thanks
In alerts and raids you have to have the dominance to use stuns or incase adds so only tanks and troll role can crowd control adds. That is what dominance check is for. As a dps you generally won't be able to effect adds unless you earth doing unstoppable or nature savage growth. Those are the only moves that work on adds in raids or alerts. Also they have nurffed the controllers ability to stun or cc to only 2 seconds so it is generally the tank job to cc adds
Thank you very much. One more question. Does this also mean the powers does not apply effects like dazed or terrorized to opponents in DPS role? Which would also mean that there is no damage increase on powers where the description quotes "...dazed enemies are receiving additional damage.."?
Also have seen that CR is maxed out and I put max SP in critical chance and critical effect, but in open world those stats are buffed by 15%. What donI need to level to reach that number and dont need the open world buff for it?
All of those power interactions will still apply even in DPS stance. They are CC's, they are just named status effects which don't do anything on their own. You get buffed in open world/event-level instances until you reach some minimum threshold of stats. As you naturally progress and allocate SP properly, get more gear and artifacts, those stats will no longer be buffed. Overall just keep in mind for now that you will be slightly wraker in regular or elite content because those levela of content do not compensate your stats with buffs.
Also want to point out that enemy NPCs have a hidden stat called Willpower that protects them from crowd control effects. If your Dominance is lower than their Willpower than your CC will fail. Open world NPCs have much lower Willpower than instance NPCs.
