Elite Gear and why bother ?

It counts as Elite piece for me.

OP items don‘t have (Elite) tag behind its name anymore, but as Strichcode mentioned they count as Elite gear after a certain rank, i believe it been rank 30 for back and head now. Which you can see by reading its description.

When it comes to the regular elite gear, you should farm that first or don‘t bother about the normal gear at all, since elite duo and alert are fairly easy to complete. Stack the renown dropped and buy a renown booster from Doctor Fate vendor in House of Legends.

I never bothered with Elite gear I just get the OP items for the feats at the end of the DLC. I don't like to run elite content because sitting in the same raid for hours and hours while we fail over and over is just not fun to me and that's how most of the elite raids go at least the ones I have joined.

Or you can just let there be choices? Different strokes for different folks…right now, the stats are “a little bit better” and the CR is “a little bit better.” The biggest benefit is the A and B afffinity mods, which like others have said - if you finish OP pieces, you’ve already got access to the Type A.

It doesn’t “need” to be changed. If you don’t want to do elite, don’t do it, or just do a little bit of it.

Once you get pretty decent at the game, most elite content is pretty manageable. Plus, there’s now elite duos and alerts for those that struggled with elite raids…elite content is more accessible then it’s ever been, so no, the gear should not be this giant stats increase, it should remain “just a little bit better” so it feels more like an option, rather than a requirement, IMO.

And last DLC was the first time you had full elite gear or even realized elite gear gives only a minor stat increase???

Once you get the OP piece to level 30, a new text is displayed under the stat box that states "wearing this and other pieces of elite gear....."
So, at levels 30 to 40 it counts as elite gear.
