I'm thinking about switching my Earth DPS (my only DPS of high CR) to another power. Why? Because IMO and many mnay mnay others its the worst DPS power to have far as end game content goes. Earth's AM just cant not come even close to being effective compared to equal calibur skilled DPS'ers. I should also note that I have 2 main characters that I have played since February of 2011. My Ice Tank and my Earth DPS (yeah I switched his power to earth after DLC 3) My Ice Tank is my best character but my Earth DPS was my most "Fun" character. Now the fun has stopped because I'm more of a henderance than help in late T6 content. Crystal is worthless late game. Pure WM is not how you play an "Earth" character because wellI might as well have Iconic powers instead if I only mainly use WM. I want the fun back. So if I'm to switch powers I'll list which powers I wont switch to and the reasons why. 1) Ice - I already have an Ice toon 2) Nature - I'm in a small league and we have a good Nature DPS already 3) Electric - Same as #2 cept with Electricity 4) Fire - I have a fire toon but is lower CR so if I wanted fire I'd just level him 5) Quantum - I have Quantum Troll So with that all in mind what power should I switch to that could be fun again and have the capability to be a good DPS power in end game content (because Earth is not atm) Or should I wait for Munitions? Side Note - If Earth gets a "aftershock" AM or maybe even balances out the Pet AM I'd gladly switch back to Earth but we've all seen no word on if Erath will even be looked at again.
I have a earth dps as my main. I have 3 armories set up with 3 different loadouts. I find earth boring to but a lot better on the dps side then what players give it credit for. Crystal does suck to keep up with damage. I also have learned to use brick to tank certain content when there's no tank and that's fun to do. It's also a challenge. I do use iconic loadouts just for low teir content. If i was to switch and i was in your position i would switch to HL. If your already specced precision then it would be a great choice. they added more combo chains so you can have more combos to use.
Well I do still have a free HL power switch token back from DLC 1 in my bank that been collecting dust for years.
