DONT KICK ME!

RNG Loot drop/rewards can and often do bring out the worst in people. I'd rather have the option to kick removed then see someone who worked their *** off to get to the end get kicked for some pissant leech to join and loot.

That kind of thing would be far less likely to happen if there were no rng drops from specific foes and you just got tokens to spend on things. If the kick option was kept then they could award tokens for time spent through progression so if you did get kicked at last boss you'd still get most of the tokens for the run and the leech/replacement would only get a small chunk at the end for finishing.

I truly think the vote to kick option was a great addition but now if a player in a hard to come by support role (tank, troller) wants to be a ***** in one of the new raids...yea...not going to be good...make it to the last boss and now can say everyone pay me 500k or else leave now and start from the beginning....how is this fair to the rest of us?

I can see your point because people are bungholes to each other on the internet but a good way to combat this would just be to revert replays to how they were in the past.

That's smart. Also friends list should be global so that you could /ignore /ban a whole players account for that kind of behavior. "No we're not going to run with you xxXJimmeOlzenXxx, you're the same creep tank oORealZJokurOo that tried to hold the last raid hostage.

This is entirely dumb.

There are far more instances of the kick option being used correctly than incorrectly. The thought that people are kicked at last boss before loot drops is rare. However, this will bring about many more new problems,
-the LINK DEAD wait,especially when they do not return.
-the raid held hostage for one players (either maliciously or for AFK),
-the terrible player free loading the content (seen this in LAB twice where players refused to enter the rooms or did and only tapped triangle)
- and how about the most basic... the terrible player holding up the raid because their DPS is lower than the healer or controller? Refuses to block and wiping the group.

Honestly, this is an invitation for far more poor behavior than keeping the kick option in game. I personally cannot wait to hold raids hostage that ninja invite me.

If your group gets a healer who won't heal n u die all the time, n than a troll who won't though pot out n u don't get power back n the group dies , I've been in groups like that, they que up n than don't wanna play their rolls but try 2b a dps

honesty kicking gone from game its good if people disconnect well only 15 mins to go by and you can get someone new if they don't come back.

Truth We wasted more time on a simple fos 3 raid and a Love and war raid people just didn't know how to block and we wasted 3 hours.

Tanking payments i don't see the point if you're just making money on a game why play it as of resets its you decision if you want to tank or not.

Last truth the game has become to the point where you have to buy tank is funny i am a fire tank guess what i tank for free aren't i awesome?

developers are doing what they can to make it better if players make it worse then that's the players fault not developers

so yeah i mainly run with league and we have had to deal with the occasional a hole....and now we are going to have to disband because we needed 1 random players...ill give it all a chance....but if i get griefed by this i will fuel the fire and also start holding raids hostage and stop playing seriously as im already geard for the next dlc anyway.....

What I really can't understand is ANYONE that thinks holding a group ransom is going to get them anywhere.

One look at the drop rates in the higher end content and guess what....I'll take the first two drops and if the tank or anyone else tries to directly impede the group's ability to finish the raid, I'm warping to base and filing a ticket on them for " game play, chat or any player activity whatsoever which we (the DCUO team), in our sole discretion, determine is inappropriate and/or in violation of the spirit of the Game".

Please...put your demands in text. I look forward to sorting out the asshats from the people who recall that this is JUST A GAME!!!

taking away the kick option opens up the door for a lot of abuse and believe me players WILL abuse it

can't wait to get that player that joins and then stands there and laughs because he knows he can't be kicked or the player who uses it to blackmail the group into resetting the raid for him or the players whos sole purpose for joining is to ruin it for the rest of the group etc.

the fact is the kick option is a necessary evil that needs to stay in place or the bad apples are going to ruin this game and may even kill it

no other successful MMO has a kick option afaik. they survive just fine. people here have just gotten use to disposing of people when they don't like something. we'll live.

unfortunately, the devs will probably "try this out for a few days" and just cave under pressure from players threatening to be an ingame terrorists to their groups.

that's what some of you are really saying; "ha ha, if you don't change kicking back we'll terrorize your players until we get our way and get the change fixed". ... please post your ingame names so we can all put you on ignore.

I love the kick option. Some players should not even be allowed in some of the content they end up in period. Some players are dead weight and some players have no agenda other than annoying the entire group with complaints and selfish attitude.

There are pros and cons of this system. Nothing is perfect and removing this option will create a lot more problems than it would actually fix over time.

This team concept reason for not kicking is not right. Any sports team I have been has kicked people for not contributing or for being a jerk.

Also, how about the time wasted for the honest players in the group trying to complete the content when someone is not pulling their weight and holding up the group?

I have been in those 120-200+ minute Love & War runs... its excrutiating when the entire raid can be completed in 25 minutes. That is why we NEED the kick option. I understand this might mean players have to play their role, but lets be honest.... how many mechanics were changed, altered, introduced to help awful players? Awful players will still find a way to be awful because they CHOOSE not to learn how to play this game. It's not elitism, it's honesty-ism.

Is it selfish that I would much rather kick a poor player and have a 25 minute L&W run over a 120+ minute run? I'd like to see how some of those supporting the removal of kick would feel about this 'teamwork' when they are stuck in those excrutiatingly long runs.

You have never played the role of a highly desired tank then sir. As it stands right now... we get ninja's all day and many players will reset our runs just so we will tank the first two bosses of throne.

So the OP doesn't like a decision the devs make. So he starts a thread bragging that he'll intentionally start griefing players in-game because of it. That's an action that readers of the thread will obviously find objectionable. It's almost as if he is intentionally trying to get the reader to start an argument with him. It's almost as if he wants the reader upset even though he plans on not being bothered. If only there was a word for when someone does that on the forums. It sounds objectionable. If only there were rules on the forums about that kind of behavior. I guess it's just something to think about...
