Do melee weapons still give more Control Resistance than ranged weapons?

    equip a melee weapon (dual wield) hit up on dpad go to current effects and look, then do same for a ranged weapon (bow)

    Yes, unless you have WM unlocked. In that case, it doesn't matter.

    Minor necro, but is this shown anywhere in game?

    I've seen this mentioned a lot since I started playing, but the only reference to this is relating to weapon mastery, not in the absence of it.
