@DEVS Please Implement Cross Save

Switch and Xbox servers need a serious upgrade, or the ability to transfer our accounts to other systems. Even if we have to pay to do it we would. Our servers are dead or dying. There has to be something you guys can start working on @DEVS

I actually 100% agree with this idea.

If Fall Guys can manage cross platform play i.e. one account - any system - then why can't Daybreak...

I should be able to play on any system I want with the same characters on one mega server :)

We've spent hundreds if not thousands on switch and xbox. Cross progression would literally save our lives... Please help us!

Imagine you play on P4 and you finally get a PC because you want better gameplay. Cross play would let you do that! @Devs let talk

Its something the Devs have stated they would like to do but cant. Red tape red tape. Its probably the contracts with them being a PS studio at one point and how the game is coded with that to handle accounts and they cant touch that stuff either because its old code or again, lawyers get involved since its about personal account information. a New game doing is different than an old one. New rules versus old rules. One day it'll happen. Just dont know when but one can dream.

100% agree on this. I have heard the "is not on daybreak. Is NS/Xbox/PS or someone else" lots of times but if they can't improve those dying servers they really need to work on alternatives for getting us all in one server. I like the game, but for some servers the game is unplayable and sadly we have already spent thousands.

Looks at Final Fantasy 14, looks at age of Final Fantasy 14, Look at fact I can cross platform/account play in Final Fantasy 14 (albeit after a payment).

Looks at Fall Guys, Looks at Nintendo Switch and playing on the same account, looks at PC playing on the same account (not even having to pay).

Decides not to buy what Trexlight is selling lol.

I strongly believe this is a Daybreak issue, they could make it work, in fact I'd be very very surprised if this wasn't already 'technically' possible but just being restricted.

If Dota Autochess allowed us to cross save between mobile and PC, DCUO must have a way to allow us to cross save too. This is an excellent idea and it would allow me to migrate to switch at last.

At the very least crossplay should be looked into. But I can understand not being allowed to transfer toons or whatever else players want. It’s not just issues with platforms acting like babies. But there’s also a large brand tied to the game unlike the other games you listed. Dc comics. Not sure if that plays a role with their limitations but I doubt it’s just DI not wanting to.

I am absolutely skeptical about the DC license being an issue, the intellectual property is being used on each platform respectively, there's zero difference between whether or not I choose to play through a Playstation or an Xbox.

There's multiple parties at play here and highly doubt one of them is WB/DC, I suspect more likely the parties at play are Daybreak, Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony.

Daybreak need to sit in a room and discuss a desire to have cross platform access, that is undoubtedly what is happening elsewhere and isn't happening here (I am of the opinion this is something happening or should have been happening at Jack Emmerts level, when he was CEO)

For the record, Fall Guys was not cross platform at the beginning, so somewhere along the lines after it was acquired by EpicGames, Epic have sat down with the necessary parties, done the necessary talking and worked through it.

What it does require you do to do through the console is create an Epic account in which you log in once and the connection prevails from there, the same reality exists obviously for Daybreak, a Daybreak account is created and connected through the console in exactly the same fashion.

There's also no need to "transfer toons", there is literally zero transfer.

My characters and access sit with Daybreak, the console I use is irrelevant as all I do is connect to my Daybreak account on whatever console I decide I want to access it on.

That is how it works and other games have proven perfectly well, that it can be achieved, if the developer really wants to do it.

Destiny 2 is a HUGE game that has cross save and cross platform. It is certainly doable

The problem with this is that Daybreak can't be alone in making this kind of decision, unless I'm mistaken, but generally there has to be an agreement between the studio and the retailer of such and such a console, and maybe even something external legal to approve it.

Destiny is no where near as big of a company as DC Comics. Not even close.

Again, not saying that it is or isn’t cause of DC Comics. Just pointing out that that’s another factor that could potentially play a role. All the companies you named that you can switch servers/platforms are not large brands to the scale of DC Comics. Greed is a major factor when dealing with a company like DC. Same with marvel. Look at the movies. No one wants to share iconic characters unless they get something major and even that things fall apart all the time. Look at the Spider-Man movies. Spider-Man was allowed to be used in the MCU until things fell apart. Then they made up. Maybe it has something to do with it maybe not. Maybe it’s just coding and the devs can’t figure it out. Point is that I doubt it’s just because they don’t want to. That is the least likely reason

But this doesn't make any sense. The game is already on all platforms and already exposed in an irrevocable way.

It's possible that they just don't know how to do it, specially in a phase where half of their developers left the company. Lest we not forget how Cryptic developers, by the time curiously led by Jackster, told in my face that revamping one of their games was "too much programming" and they openly refused to save said game.

I agree. Heck, Fortnite even managed to make it so the money/Vbucks you spend/buy on any platform is transferred to whatever platform you are playing on as well.

Rockstar did something similar years ago with GTA V, I transferred my GTA Online character and everything I own to PS4 from 360. However I believe you couldn't go back if you use the transfer, I don't remember for sure though.

I know if I could play my main DCUO account on any platform I want, I'd be playing DCUO even more for sure.

According to a quick google search, DC comics net worth is 10 billion.. Nintendo's is 58 billion and Sony and Microsoft are ridiculously beyond them at over a trillion each.

While that isn't really their brand popularity, all 3 of them are massive corporations known throughout the world, I mean they don't have the iconic'ness of Superman and Batman, but they are definitely up there.

I'd suggest you don't quite possibly understand who EpicGames are Deity ;)
  19. BumblingB I got better.

Last thing said from a #ASKDCUO.

Since this was last year and nothing happened, it would seem we didn't get cross play as well.

Probably confirms that its a resourcing issue as they can't spare the significant time required to do the set up work.

    Thanks for the post BumblingB
