Why are pet am scaled by cr?

Why isn't it by might or precision?

With a pet am what is the point to get elite gear if it doesn't make your pet better?

Why is vendor gear under cr to raid gear?Shouldn't it be the same with just less stats?

Why does every other power get better with more sp and stats but pets dont.

Trust me you don't want your pet scaled by stats in a system that alters damage done based on cr.
Powers get better with CR now, sp has always been a small bonus in the grand scheme of gear>mods>sp stat totals.

if raid gear were the same cr there'd be nothing to chase
Elite gear doesn't really make anything better, especially with cr differential but I'll leave that alone lol.

Oh yeah I forgot this question u said sorcery and earth don't get a power back abilities like the other powers cause we are supposed to use WM with our am, then why does the dot ams get power back? They are supposed to use WM to help their am.

Fortify Golem and Offering increase power regeneration for the next 2 powers cast.

actually earth and sorc do have power back AM, its just not a quantum power back level. Its more of a insanely fast power regen. Which I've done duo's with both power types and the person using the power has stayed full power other then maybe like 5-10% power lost at any given time.

I don't think surveys (even surveys asked of the developers) are allowed on these forums.

It only makes u hit harder when u equal the NPC cr , ex.
Ur cr 99 enemy cr 100 u do 75% damage
Ur cr 100 enemy cr 100 u do 100% damage
Ur cr 105 enemy cr 100 u do 100 % damage ( this is where ur mods sp make a difference )

If u get new gear but don't go up in cr u still get better attacks. With the pet am u don't.

I know that was just wondering why it is like that and in a duo in a long boss fight with u can run out of power but that is where sodas and stuff come in. Why have it different then all the other powers even the ones that are supposed to use WM with their am.

Vendor Gear has a higher Item Level than Raid drops in certain Tiers:
    • Tier 2 Vendor Gear is Item Level 56. Tier 2 Raids drop Item Level 52 gear.
    • Tier 3 Vendor Gear is Item Level 70. Tier 3 Raids drop Item Level 62 & 64 gear.
    • Tier 4 Vendor Gear is Item Level 78. Tier 4 Raids drop Item Level 70 - 76 gear.

This isn't a survey, lol so any question asked on the forums are a survey?
These are questions about an am that can't be increased like other am.
  12. minuteofdecay Committed Player

OK then go back to that formula then so vendor gear is better and an am isn't stuck in nowhere land when they don't get drops.

It would be nice to actually see the power coming in tho, instead of an increase to something that u can't tell if it is working.

Their defense takes a hit when you are above their cr.

Tier scaling instead of CR scaling

Comparison for you guys, not based on exact % but it will do.

    ENEMY NPC CR = 120

    Player CR = 117
    Player damage = 25%

    Player CR = 118
    Player damage = 50%

    Player CR = 119
    Player damage = 75%

    Player CR = 120
    Player damage = 100%

    Player CR = 121
    Player damage = 100%

    Player CR = 122
    Player damage = 100%

    Player CR = 123
    Player damage = 100%

    Player CR = 124
    Player damage = 100%

    Player CR = 125
    Player damage = 100%

    Player CR = 126
    Player damage = 100%

So now you see the issue with all of your arguments. YES, if you are UNDER the CR of the enemy, you do LESS damage because of your CR. If you are AT the CR of the enemy, or ABOVE the CR of the enemy, you are doing the exact same damage as everyone else that is AT or ABOVE the enemy CR, except for stat/skill/power differences.

This only changes when you are a FULL tier above the enemy, in which you will start to do increased damage on said enemy vs someone that is within the tier of the enemy.

Once you are as strong or stronger than the NPC, STATS and SKILL mean more than CR.

Tier scaling instead of CR scaling
