    Agreed with everything 100%. For the first time in years I have the impression that the devs are doing the right thing, in the right way.

    Think about how much effort was wasted by the monthly power creep we've been getting since GU36 for the sake of "balance". All it did was gating us to a game with fixed legends-style loadouts and away from meaningful character building.
    What they just announced is, finally, actually being back what was great about DCUO in the first place.

    I think Avair has shown a good understanding of everything that went wrong since 36 and if they can deliver, this is going to be spectacular. I'm looking forward to diverse metagaming and character building for all roles.

    Btw, keep in mind everyone that if content is longer just because adds are stronger but the RNG system is still just as bad, and we have to keep relying on replay badges to advance, we aren't making much progress in the core of game, longer content with less rewards isn't helping the game at all, this is why many left by Origin Crisis.

    Not very many people like the game as it is now. I respect your opinion, but most people hate the present game.

    I don't quite understand why you're desperate to preserve power back, but hey.

    You bring to surface dark memories of fire's dark ages before WM. I'll be so devastated if fire ever returns to that state.

    Since Fireburst is both, melee and long cast time (the longest in the game, afaik), it should 1-shot CR175 bosses. But how many times have I heard the term "risk-reward-balance" while fire remained among the bottom 5 dps powers for most of its lifespan...no power has higher risk than fire. melee, cast time, interruptible. it doesn't get any more dangerous. if there was any such thing as risk reward balance, fire would've had to be top DPS for as long as it's been around (while in fact fire's time on top of the food chain was extremely short).

    they said in the video that pets will stay cr based but they will look into it further ,they never said anything about pets being might based thats why i suggested it in my other comment

    i also like having power back i just don't like being forced to use cookie cutter builds but i would also rather not see power back go away ,i always thought the AMs were a good idea just poorly implemented

    This is the one thing that worries me. I didn't mind the two troll setup during the weapon mastery days but the 3 troll days...no thank you.

    I would also say make content that requires the Trolls to control the adds, by adjusting damage dealt to the Tank if more than 1 NPC attack the Tank.

    Also set the NPC's to have automatic agro drops from the Tank and attack various players requiring the controller to focus on them to aide there teammates with stuns, holds, pulls or encasements.

    The debuffs are not respected by the vast majority, even with an additional buff, most just want Controllers for there power.

    If done correctly the removal of AM/WM bonuses could bring the return of the debuffs.

    The Controller Role will rise again if they implement the changes without caving in to the Batteries and those who stand to lose abilities from the lack of SP.

    Will have to see what happens on test though.

    I mean everything sounds great.. but did some1 just calculated how much might or prec is possible with this revamp?

    200 -> 204 -> 208... for Health => if it means 200+204+208+... =>91460 for 170 sp spend on Health...
    120 -> 122,4 -> 124,8... for Vita => 54876 Vita => PoT of ~4500...
    68595 for Defense
    54876 for Might
    68595 for Prec
    137190 for Power
    37498 for Dominance

    i guess with this stats u dont need AM or WM^^

    I think your numbers are wrong. Almost all of the people that I have talked to like AM but they never come on the forums because of all the negativity.

    I just everyone to have all options on how to play. if you like cookie cutter AM with power regen thats fine if you like to us weapons and sodas for power that is also fine. If you want a little of both that is also fine.

    I have 2 questions to do:

    1) How pet powers will be affected with this measure since pets (Fury and Crystal) have the CR as base?

    2) All these changes will be made just in 1 GU?

    dont think u can put all ur sp into 1 attribute, it will be caped for example @ 0/50

    I've always been fair with this game. Fair for the good changes and fair for the bad changes. And I'm going to say... this is amazing, all of this has made me feel hype for this game, which I hadn't felt for so long. I really hope this is well implemented and finally skill matters, as it used to, and also brings back unique and personal loadouts and characters.

    Can't wait for solos and dailies to be un doable without power regen, in the end the game will still be raids and duos only, without power regen 1 troll won't be enough for alerts, even less for Elite alerts, and get ready for troll stacking on raids and elite raids.

    I am very encouraged by all of this, albeit concerned that we may be bolting the door with the Horse long fled. The vast majority of those who play and have played DCUO will benefit or welcome these changes, those that have only experienced the game in its recent form might find it less easy to see the benefits. But benefits there are not just now but into the future and it's great to see a long term view being taken......now please get rid of content relevancy, as we make the game works better let us open it up so that it can use all it has to sell itself, make progression not just about getting stronger but also about having more freedom and more choice, let is be about DC becoming more and more a place you want to spend your time...and the money will follow.

    As to the changes themselves there is a lot to take in but the loss of the AM mechanics is a big big positive, as long as the mitigation in power is made to keep us viable....there is not always a troll to hand although when there is it should be palpable, likewise for healer and tank the idea should be to encourage players to use their roles rather than demand it.

    Recently there has been a lot of work on the early game....now more than ever some early missions should be included to teach players the basics of their role, not under the duress of a player team but with a controlled npc mission with your mentor or their lackey. Playing in your role needs to feel effective, fun but different to being damage based and stats application can do much of this...particularly if we recover the diversity in valid power builds (again AM was the curse here making for one loadout to rule them all)...player investment, youtube incentive and more will all blossom from this one change. It is like coming out of the dark age and it can't happen fast enough for me.

    Counting in the risk factor involved with Fire Burst I'd rather see it removed and Fire made a bit more burstly with wild fire, spontaneous combustion.
    Cast vs Channel powers is something that should be adressed, they don't share the same risk but are 1:1 damage wise. It shouldn't be like that.

    Will these changes have any affect on league hall stats we choose to unlock.

    Also what kind of changes are going to be made to leagues that are small that struggle to acquire the same amount of prestige as fast as leagues that are larger that have 100+ members active daily vs leagues that have less than 10 active

    Leagues with 100 active members can reach the weekly cap while leagues with 10 almost never achieve the same cap cycle
