Work In Progress Development Update: Anniversary Event!

I'm not sure if you missed my point. I'm fine with them adding more styles. I'm against the idea of them taking away the Auntie Monitor style after this year. And like in my Jim Gaffigan post, don't give me an errand as a gift. So far, we know this is going to be a yearly event, kind of like seasonals. But an anniversary isn't the same as a seasonal. What will and will not be included next year?

I'm sure they'll leave the style in the vendor and just add something next year. That's what they've been doing with seasonal vendors; you can still buy items from many years ago. I don't see them changing that strategy with marks and gameplay involved. Previous anniversary gifts had no vendor - there was really no way to make them available year after year unless they mailed all of them again each year.

I feel they also just used the wrong word for describing this. It would have been better to say something like Anniversary Surprise. Like a trip or a date, it's in honor of an anniversary; but it requires some effort to enjoy.

You and I both know if you could single troll in a raid, with pot, instant power, debuffs and not run out of pwr you was a good troll. Lets not 4get multiple choices you have to when it come to keeping up with the dps or healer when it come to pwer or should you debuff. Back in those days pug made you a better player. League runs was easy but it was pugs that help player to become elite back in those days 4 me personally

On the serious part. Good job bringing something fresh in between new Episodes, and the Anniversary is perfect for it. Can't wait to test it out.

Unlike most, I actually understand the stat revamp post. I didn't know inquiries actually equated to concerns. While most of the interrogatories were rhetorical in nature, the main point is you will be using weapons as a main form of attack and play from tray only will not be feasible anymore so you are really testing weapons and power interaction not powers or as everyone who didn't understand power am types. The only thing we really need to figure out is the OP weapon combo and which powers will benefit the most be it dots, PI, or pet.

This is only up for a month? Ok then yes those prices need to come down

it really sucks and pretty much drove my active playing the game to nothing. i've been watching to forums in hopes that things turn around. seems like SJ really cares about the game and longevity but lots of "get rich quick" to undo. kudos to her and her team though.

So in order to complete the items, and gear in this event, there will be a need to replay on top of running it every day?

If so, how it is this a gift? it is a RB sink, hardly a gift

While you're at it you might want to think of doing something to make the console in the WT stand out a bit more. I've been playing since Beta and still had to use my map to figure out which console to interact with.

So another replay badges fest disguised as a special event. It sucks that you cant even finish the gear style without the need of replays. Id understand if you have to chose between the gear and the aura...but not being able to finish neither of the two? Thats bs.

can't you guys make it so we can at least have either the whole gear or wait for the gear but get the collection items before the event goes without replay?

If this is event is an anniversary gift for players then the prices need to be lowered to a reasonable amount so all players can get the items in the month that it's up .The whole idea that replay badges can be used if you want to get everything is bad and really a slap in the face to the players who have supported this game for 6 years.

Also the gift oddly feels like a chore and not having the option to complete it all without paying on top of your subscription isn't a pleasant thing to deal with. I understand that everything needs to make a profit but relying on loyal customers to cash out even more isn't the best route.

I thought so too, until I read what Mepps said and that the only way to get everything was to either replay or wait until the event returns next year.

Thanks for subscribing another year. Here is an event that need to be replayed to fully benefit from it, because next year the event will return, but will have more rewards, so you will always be behind, unless you replay.
