Wave was appearantly even more ridiculous too, I didn't happen to be around to play OC when it was released due to not having wifi for extended amount of time. Though I would've liked to. All I know about it is that my friends call it DCUOs Dark Age, due to how the community shifted about.

But honestly I don't think the devs were to blame for the difficulty. We technically asked for it, and they delivered. And this was all caused by, from my understanding, the fact that we were so hot headed once we were full T4.

It appears the difficulty bar they set was too high so what we get now is a pseudo-difficulty as our "challenging content" but oh wells not much we can do.

Oh, I wasn't complaining about the difficulty. I loved nexus pre GU36 (I think it was). It was even better once the lightweight/telekenesis door glitch was fixed.

I know you weren't. I was just saying I came into T5 when it was nerfed.

I don't know the actual severity of that glitch, how bad was it?

Or the death of the villain faction...(Everyone swaps factions, villains who swapped stay hero after that, and heroes swap back after getting their feats.)
Or a temporary inversion of the factions(everyone swapping faction)
Or the death of the hero faction(Everyone swaps, those who swapped to villain stay villain, former villains swap back to villain.)

Most groups had at least one HL dps/troll and a mental DPS/troll. All groups really had to do was get to the final boss fight and wait for the hl and mental guys to finish the instance for them.

By your logic any change would be doom. This would work
  7. FloodingGotham New Player

Am I the only villain who sees marketing treating us this way as good for RP?
  8. Minnion Devoted Player

Would be funny if the introduction of faction tokens caused a complete reversal of faction populations.... (I suspect this to be the best case scenario, with the factions potentially evening out as time passes due to new players and new alts...)
  9. Thunderbolt Dedicated Player

To heck with both sides. I want an Anti-Hero faction. I want to run all content for both Hero and Villain side. I want a faction that does what it has to to get the job done regardless of collateral damage as long as it is for the greater good. I want Guy Gardner's Red Lantern/Lobo style faction. Now that would kick all kinds of.......

This game is pro hero but i see it as a positive because very rarely we will run into noobs on the villian side

If anything the game is almost exclusively pro dps.

Why do we even have factions at this point?.
The content is practically the same thing copy and pasted except you are fighting something else.

It could be said there are more Hero in the game but not that the game focuses on them. The content between the two is clearly even giving both heros and evil do-ers something to do with different storyline and even going as far as to give them different raids and alerts to do. I will say that Villains seem to get along better tho. At least on the PS side and IMO

I think everyone knows the game is pro hero. All the dlc storylines are created for heroes, then the bosses change names for villains. And the devs mostly play heroes and assume every league on FNL is hero. In survival mode, black Adam got fixed, but Martian manhunter kept his huge one-shot radius. The lockdown feat where you have to kill both bosses around the same time was bugged on villain side for a week.
The devs promote being a hero because it's what people want to be. Villains are already outnumbered, so why promote the less popular faction? You don't see comic books making villains the protagonist, do you? It's not the devs' fault for it being this way, they're just playing with the cards they were dealt.
