Thief is probably appropriate when you think about it more they were actually stealing stuff.

See you've changed tack again trying desperately to insult our intelligence.

LOL this went from you reacting with "we don't deserve to be banned/the game can't handle it/it was all for the community!" to "your ban didn't do sh*t/we didn't lose anything at all". You are so delusional that you can't fathom it yourself. If you keep posting any further, pretty soon you'll be sitting here rambling on about conspiracy theories and the Illuminati. It's time to take a nap, man.

EDIT: And I know I shouldn't even bother responding to you at all anymore, it's more than obvious that you are derailing this whole thing to the best of your ability.

Oh boy thanks for the old info.

Oh please right ok 400 cheaters got banned... oh no how will we ever survive... the acorns are falling please someone call chicken little he needs to save us from the falling sky.

The more of those 400 people that move on to another game instead of coming back on alternate accounts the better.

But hey on the bright side at least its quick to power level right.

Well I heard about this yesterday. If the exploiters didn't take advantage of the community and just Daybreak. I think ppl on here wouldn't look down on the exploiters as much.

Both players who buy from broker and the exploiter has been taken advantage of by Daybreak.

I understand the exploiter got greedy. But I'm going to take what exploiter did from a different perspective. It shows how greedy Day Break has been with these TC among players.

DayBreak is literally doing what EA Battle Front was doing when it 1st came out. The difference between the two is the community. DCUO community like it and Battlefront community was against it.

To me personally it shows how messed up ppl on the forms are. To just be mad at the exploiter is mind boggling to me. To know some what of the ratio to get from TC show DCUO has went to pay to win.

On the other thread I had to make it clear that DCUO wasn't paid to win to another player. But know I take back what I said. DCUO is paid to win.

I understand players do get lucky, but the fact you have to pay a lot of money to get what yo want shows it make no sense that this game want you to pay for membership.

It very clear to me that we as a whole like to be abused.
Exploiters can look like heroes in other game like Destiny but in DCUO it the total opposite

TC's might be a less than desirable marketing ploy but it's not currently illegal, despite being morally questionable.

Expoliting the game to steal $1 stabilizer keys and replays is against the law; it amounts to theft as Mohican rightfully pointed out.

They're not even comparable. One is illegal, one isn't.

Oh ok so it's now justifiable because not all the cheaters got caught because some of them made an effort to hide their wrongdoings and that makes their wrongdoings, rightdoings.

OK its your next move to justify the indefensible and I'll grab another coffee while you come up with the 99th way to embarass yourself.

Try going into a casino, wal mart or a shopping mall stealing stuff and use that argument. You will land in jail faster than you know.

I think you should reevaluate cyber crime laws before you get too comfortable.

Just because authorities don't always pursue fraud doesn't mean it isn't illegal.

Oh geez that didn't take long, now it's Mepps' fault?

I'm not sure where you got this 'celebration' notion from in the first place.

We're discussing the fact they got banned; explaining they got what they deserved, that is not a celebration that is just being pleased at the fact the developers took meaningful action against players that deserved it.

This whole notion of celebration has really only come about because you are incensed by the fact they were banned in the first place and can't grasp the reality of what they did meant it was the inevitable result.

You have and are continuing to come up with reason after reason as to why it shouldn't have happened and blame anyone and everyone but the people who made the active choice to cheat.

The FBI website and actual legislation are not the same thing but A for effort.

Oh funny now you're deflecting to a persons choice of word, this has been fun but at this point I think your position has been so comprehensively destroyed "being in tatters" is the only way to describe it.

I'll just leave this thread for the popcorn consumers at this point, you have a good one friend.

WOW, you do not get it at all. I'm telling you any of the exploits that took money out of DCUO TC's is called fraud and or stealing which is a crime.

Here is the first link that popped up in about 2 seconds Old but still relevant. I know that I can find more because stealing over the internet is in fact a crime and possibly a federal crime. I will add that just because the theft was in a game it does not give them a free pass because they were stealing the property of DCUO. Virtual or not. It was theft.

Wrong. Cheating is cheating. Why is this so hard for you all to understand? there is no scenario where it would be justifiable to cheat in order to "Get back at the devs" for some percieved slight.

Are you all children? Where did your ethics code come from?

I'm too lazy to do it, but anybody with more motivation could go through this and the other thread you posted in and pull up several of your posts where you were trying to justify it.

    Your story keeps changing.

what you're "trying to prove" keeps changing.

We get it, you can't admit when you're wrong, and you don't like it when people point out that you're trying to justify cheating. The evidence of you doing so is all over these two threads for anybody to see.

who do you think you're convincing of anything at this point?

You are trying to justify it, because by your own admittance in this thread, you know people who used it. You tried to claim they did it selflessly(yes you did, it's like two pages back).

you are trying to justify it because (and this is more than obvious by now) you personally benefitted from it. You're trying to make a case (and awful, very poorly thought out case) for your admitted buddies.

And when all of your arguments have fallen apart, now, at the end, you're trying to spin this as you saying "you guys think this makes a difference, it doesn't." even though anyone with two eyes and reading comprehension can see how you've flipped and jumped and moved your own goalposts several times.

What a joke you've become, all of your own making.
