DCUO is never going to fix the freezing are they?

I've been lagging like hell the past couple days. It's ridiculous. Unplayable at times. I'm on ps3

Freezing in-game, whether that be latency-based lag-freeze or resourced-based crash-freeze can only be fixed so much. On platforms such as the PS3, the freezing more likely is the latter than the former and is due to the constant resource-swapping the game has to do with the limited amount of system RAM the PS3 has. The PS4 has similar issues at times but I'm thinking this is more latency-based because of the new system sharing data with the slower antiquated PS3 architecture. This seems to happen more in groupings where you have an equal or greater number of PS3 users in your group as you can only process information as quickly as your slowest end-user.

For PC users, a lot of the freezing is more down to system resources. If you run the game on a system that only meets the minimum requirements, you're more likely to have issues with resource freezing particularly if you are running any other applications on your PC such as music players, external chat programs, etc. Latency or lag-freezing is also more common on the PC side because each person's net speed is different based on provider and geo-location from the datacenter. In these instance, there is little the developers can do to correct it.

That seems right. I have not seen any posts yet about ps4 users not being able to sign in but, It don't surprise me. I wounder if SOE even has a clue on how to properly run a business. I seen a report sometime ago SOE had to lay off people and, they still can't figure out why there work place is not so, good anymore. They don't take of us. They are more concerned about what things they can sell us. WAR of light DLC is junk except A&B. The rest of the dlc is full of freezing in alerts and, the rage power does not work properly.

Same here. Haven't frozen in a loooong time while playing DCUO.

Really? For a while it was every week and another log in issue. SOE was blaming the log in issues on PSN. Whether that was the case or not there proabbly was about a 2 month period where PS4 players struggled to get into the game on a regular basis.

The issue is the PS3. I rarely freeze on ps4, and when you do, it takes you back to the ps4 menu. Sorry to say freezing on PS3 is here to stay.

with the way SOE is about DC I would call them liars for blaming psn because of this games poor performance. I have never had 1 issue with psn. I will say DC on the ps4 has a better picture and, loading times are faster. I don't have a ps4 yet but, I'll get 1 when it has more games for it. I'm not surprised players have had login issues on there ps4.

also.. people in my league are getting APP CRASHES in those instances too.. interesting that the PS4 didn't help them.

tell me about it.,...i went into OP3 and literally had 1 frame per minute at the bossfight....completly shut down the game and started it again...it seemed to do the trick....then it happend last night again and i restarted the game and it went away again....

Well, there is your problem and the answer to your question...

You play on PS3....so no they won't...because it is not possible. It is the PS3 causing this, not the game itself.

No dice... I have people in my league that are on the PS4 and get app crashes...

What they are saying is that its a memory issue, im not sold on that but i dont play on ps3 how longs it been happening? you could have some kind of corrupted graphics file if its in the same spot does it happen after you reinstall?
will more happen in the future as more content comes out yes i am waiting for them to release something that makes the ps3 almost non playable.

No idea, because I have yet to have a problem with my PS4... I'm still not sure how I survived playing this game for so long on my PS3... what a POS.

And I'm not going to buy a PS4 just because DCUO refuses to fix their game, pay $400 for a game system to play dcuo the way THEY should have it? yeah, no. Not my job to make the game work

I never freeze on PS4. I used to crash once in a blue moon but I can't even remember the last time that happened.
