Deluge is DC Universe Online's 31st Episode pack. It takes inspiration from a recent DC Comics storyline involving Aquaman, Mera and other Atlanteans in an arc of the same name.

Episode 31 is a unique DLC unlike any other before it, because not all of the content is brand new missions. In 2017, DCUO launched the "Starro the Conqueror" Major Event. Despite it's popularity, the developers discovered a better way of handling events, by opening up episodes with special time limited access to whatever the newest Episode was at the time. As a result, the Starro the Conqueror event became redundant.

With Episode 31, the Starro the Conqueror event returns, with some changes that make it differ from the original version. It will now be permanently available, for the rest of the game's tenure. For a limited time after launch, all players will be able to access "(Event)" versions of all the content. The episode will also be available to purchase as a standalone episode, too. Owning the content or having a DCUO membership, will allow you to access to tougher, end-game versions of the same content and exclusive rewards such as the Mera gear.

In addition to all the previous Starro the Conqueror missions returning (with some improvements and changes implemented), 2 new missions were added. A new Solo mission and Raid have been added, too, with the raid boasting a brand new environment that showcases some of the new potential graphics fidelity that can be achieved, now that the Playstation 3 is no longer supported.

How to Obtain: Starro the Conqueror Loot Boxes

This set is found inside the Starro the Conqueror Loot Boxes, which have a chance to drop in the bonus Owners Treasure Boxes that are given to DLC owners and DCUO members after completing Episode 31 Content.

The Conqueror gear has Spore Clusters attached to it. Wearing 8 pieces of Conqueror gear at the same time will unlock the "Sori, Not Sori" feat worth 10 points. Any character with this feat unlocked will receive Bonus Atlantean Crowns in certain Episode 31 missions.

Starro Omnipotence Gear

Last year, the Starro the Conqueror Major Event introduced 3 pieces of Starro-themed Omnipotent gear. These items were introduced as DCUO's first ever craftable Omnipotence items. After purchasing R&D plans from the Starro the Conqueror vendor, players could craft each item using materials found exclusively in the event, as well as some more commonly available items.

In Episode 31, instead of crafting the Omnipotence gear, players have the opportunity to receive fully assembled pieces when opening the Starro the Conqueror: Loot Box. No R&D involved. If you receive the item from the loot box, you will unlock the corresponding feat for that piece. This is the same feat that you get for crafting it, too, so if you've already done it, then it's one less thing to worry about.

Keep an eye out for the Deluged Starro's Clasp of Omnipotence (Utility Belt), Deluged Starro's Loop of Omnipotence (Ring), and Deluged Starro's Mask of Omnipotence (Face).

The Starro Omnipotence gear isn't all that useful, now. Even the new versions for 2018. The only piece which may be of some use is the Starro Mask of Omnipotence, which is the only mask in the game that allows you to insert a mod into it, boosting a particular stat. The Mask alone isn't as good as the Episode 31 vendor gear mask, but with a mod, you will be able to boost the chosen stat beyond what is available on the vendor.

In Episode 31: Deluge, there are a total of 7 collections to obtain. One of those collections is the War of the Ocean collection, which is covered above in the Items of Omnipotence section. The newest collection is the "Prophecies of the Widowhood" collection, which offers the Elemental Shrine base item. The "Undersea Uprising" collection is also new, but appears to be a Title/Feat/Marks collection.

For DCUO members and players who own Episode 31, an additional Treasure Box will drop at the end of content for you to open and exclusive rewards. Some of those rewards include bonus base items that don't drop anywhere else in the game.

Enhanced Spindrift Style

The Enhanced Spindrift style is an alternative version of the regular Spindrift style. The major differences between the regular and enhanced version is that regions of the Enhanced version sport a digital pixelated camouflage design.

This style is found inside the Owners Treasure Boxes that drop for players at the end of instanced content in Episode 31. All pieces of the style are tradable. It is handled in a similar fashion to the Episode 30 Enhanced Quicksuit style.

Like the regular Spindrift style, you can equip an emblem on the Shoulders and Chest pieces.

Collecting all 8 pieces of the Enhanced Spindrift style will unlock the "Undersea Explorer" feat, a 3 star feat worth 50 feat points.

Enhanced Conqueror Style

The Enhanced Conqueror style is an alternative version of the regular Conqueror style. The major differences between the regular and enhanced version is that regions of the Enhanced version glow.

This style was originally available during the Starro the Conqueror Major Event as a craftable style, from a plan granted when purchasing the regular Conqueror gear from the event vendor. The recipe calls for 15x Complex Materials, 25x Simple Materials and 5x Conqueror motes.

Although it's still possible to craft this style, if you have the plan and the components, crafted pieces of the style can be found in the Starro the Conqueror: Loot Box.

Collecting all 8 pieces of the Enhanced Conqueror style will unlock the "Hey Now, You're an All-Star" feat. This feat is worth 0 stars/0 feat points, but unlocks the "The Invulnerable" title. You will also be given an automatic 10% damage bonus in:

• Starro: Invasion! (Alert)
• Starro: Spreading Spores (Duo)
• Starro: The Threat Below (Raid)
• Central City Starro Deluge Zone (Open World Area)

Asteroidea Style
The Asteroidea style is a 3 piece style set for your Waist, Back and Shoulders. The design of each piece is meant to look like a Starro starfish has attached itself to that region of your body. All pieces of this style are colour locked to the iconic Starro pallet and cannot be changed.

Although not part of the Asteroidea set, the Starro Mask of Omnipotence style "Attached Starro" compliments this set nicely, should you desire your character be under control of Starro the Conqueror.

This style is now found exclusively in the Starro the Conqueror: Loot Box. Collecting all 3 pieces will unlock the "Starro Spangled" feat, a 1 Star feat worth 10 feat points. See the video below

Tiny Starro Trinket
The Tiny Starro Trinket allows players to summon their very own Tiny Starro combat pet. Tiny Starro will aid you in combat for a short while before disappearing. It has a very basic set of attacks (a beam of energy) and doesn't have as many animations as the regular Starro NPCs.

The Tiny Starro trinket can be obtained from the Starro the Conqueror: Loot Box. It has a scaling item level, to a maximum of item level 164, however the pet itself will spawn at a Combat Rating equal to your own, when summoned.

Episode 31 Members Gift/Marketplace Update

With the launch of Episode 31, the developers gave their members a special gift box containing the all new Iridescent Material, Spindrift Station Hologram interactive base item and the Morgwar - Ancient Summoning Totem interactive base item/pet.

This box was available for all subscribers (including new subscribers) who were subscribed and logged in between the 29th of March 2018 and the 12th of April 2018. The box could only be redeemed once.

In addition to that, the Morgwar pet and Iridescent Material were both added to the Marketplace at a cost of 1,000MC each.
