What's vanishing? You'll still be able to use all those things you bought, right?

What's stopping you from subbing now then?

No changes to episode currency rewards/amounts.

I think I see what you are saying. Couple of notes: new on duty stuff should make getting pick up groups easier, the goal is for you to still feel / be powerful if overleveled + clamped in content, and, well, achieving a feat should require some number of competent bodies, no?

I do sub on one account (and assume I will continue to do so), I do not on the others. I spent the money to get them full episode access vs subbing. That's the point. I likely would not sub on multiple accounts as I'll be tied up on my main farming source in queue up groups in random content now (well....FOS3 at least), so I'd expect my premiums to fade off not get more active.

Question since I haven't seen it asked.

Are vendor prices for the gear(T1, T2, T3, and beyond) going to remain the same as they are or will they see a change given that more content will be available to get source marks from?
  7. Multiverse 15000 Post Club

    No.

That is part of the issue.

Finding competent body is not an option for a lot of the content.

The Central City bounties are a good example of that.

For a looooonnng time now finding a group has not been an option to do the CC bounties.
At some point we reached a point where NO ONE was running the CC bounties and pretty much had to solo them bounties.

The same became true with the Obot and the Sbot.
    The New Genesis bounties.
And probably other Bounties I fail to recall.

If you add the Clamp.... the people who still need to complete some bounties can just forget about it.

And heck.... even if you do find bodies.... not necessarily abled ones.

Heck there is some older content that you cannot complete even with overgeared players right now.
With the Clamp a LOT of content will be unplayable or impossible to complete.

if you play with ranbom people... which is what Quickplay seems to be it will put you in groups with random people from what I understand???..... a lot of the content is unplayabkle RIGHT NOW with overgeared random people.

With the Clamp you will make a LOT of content impossible to play... unless you are in an organized League.

Although you guys already seems set on adding the Clamp.....
    please.....
    no to the Clamp. :(

I don't know why they even think source marks/loot would even be an incentive to run older content. Unless they really ramp up the costs to exceed what endgame content provides, it's a non-incentive. If you think 3 episodes above is enough to feel powerful, well, I hope you all got your Dox runs down. I still need to run Nexus because I need a combination of Luthors, except I don't KNOW what combination because the feat menu is still broken and has been for years. Heck, I still can't solo Deluge bounties and you want to clamp open world too eventually? If there's one depressing thing about the new Phase menu, it's learning that outside of endgame, there's usually only a single nearly empty phase (single digits). Even at endgame, the episode about to fall out of relevancy will often be nearly as empty as the rest of the game.

SP may as well be called restricted to good & active leagues and rich people bonuses. I've always thought giving SP for Elite content was a bad idea and this will only be exacerbated with this update.

Not for older content, especially raids and operations.

People want to destroy old content, let them. I get that the idea is to push people to playing the older content more, either give us a clamping option (clamped and get better loot, not clamped and get loot from when it was released) for queing for that content.

Another option would be to allow solo or less-than-required-numbers queing for unclamped content.

Forcing clamping as the only avenue comes across as tone-deaf and will build resentment.

You are going to feel less powerful if you are hitting all content the same. The things that are supposed to be much weaker than you are going to be about the same as those that are on level with you. If the guys who were easy 5 years ago are suddenly able to hurt you again you lost power along the way. This mean no power growth whatsoever.

Simply allow people to choose clamped and unclamped groups. And leave the open world alone, or have a system like RIFT where you can choose your level. Rewards may very depending on your choices.

Will this be in addition to the Seal of Completion that has always been in the loyalty vendor? Or is that source being removed?

I found this great like new change and more new wayne casinos takens and more, but the Cr and low CR are different for mechanics, some players are jerks and don't do the mechanics and just waste all times in raids and all the others alerts , I remember when I run raids a lot of low cr 158,147,138,127 tier 9 run and don't follows the mechanics and dies plus not want do listen and not want to leave and go to afk low CR have to learn the game and contents with the same Cr what he going to run with for learn mechanics and feats! and high CR stay the same CR and run with players who know how to grinding and do the raids and feats.

Quick question what does 'end game' mean? especially now, is it the end of a story that's being told in the dc online universe or does it mean the end of the game as a whole?

Question: I've seen quite a few people on here who'll say they are only gonna plan to run FOS 3, Dox, and all of the easiest content to get their source marks and ignore the harder older content.

Will there be a plan to incentivize or give greater rewards in the harder older content to counter-act farming the easy content only?

My suggestion is more source marks for the harder content to even it out.

Didnt they say they had issues with the tech, with walk-ins?
  18. Yass Queen Hyppolyta Dedicated Player

I have to agree with this.

I really do love most of the proposals in the development update but forced clamping is not cool especially for folks going back to farm old feats. Devs, please do consider a non-clamped, no-loot option for old content. I don't expect to go in and one shot bosses then get loot for it, but it would be ideal if we could continue to overgear for tougher feats to return and knock them out where needed.

SIDE NOTE: As I've been posting the negatives...CC bounties might be one of the only positives, assuming you can get a group together for them. Previously as they are un-resettable, you need a minimum of 56 days to do all 500, doing 1 rotation a day. Assuming now with the 'no lock' I'd guess we can do 2, 3 or 56 in a day, again...assuming you can get a group to do it. The loot might be a benefit as well, but the counts were always the big drawback on CC bounties as 9 was the max per day.

If they remain 'un-resetable' you now will need 56 days of building a group to go hunt them....so let's hope that's not the case.

My take on clamping is still that SOME upper limit needs to be put on our damage output because it’s all too easy to soft-lock an instance by killing something too quickly. Our defences should remain impregnable however. I think that’s a good compromise.
