i have: DCUO Geoforcee100 @DCUOGeoforcee100 ‧ 5.11K subscribers ‧ 1.3K videos why wasn't i chosen? is my content not good enough?
Can we Nominate some players? Twitch Amused28 LauraBlu They are very open to players and new players and help them run content and feats. Especially when it comes to omnibus. They are also open to letting players join their leagues. The help they do for players helps keep even the new players more encouraged and welcomed!
I guess not. It looks like you gotta wait with the rest, and see if they pick you later... I've seen your videos, you do really good content, especially the test server new content videos.
I was wondering why some "New Players" can post on the forums while my second account that's 3 years old is still "under review" for every post. So 2 are the BEST Content creators for the Game, and the rest are Dev's 'friends with benefits' , got it!
I love ObsidianChill's videos. They've helped me play better! Still a filthy casual, and that's not gonna change, but at least I can play a little better!
I'm actually posting here to nominate someone. Achikah has been doing Base Tour videos and Base Off content for quite awhile now. She has helped to build a fantastic community of base crafters. She has also renewed a lot of people interest in playing this game.
I realise that this is a work in progress, so my thoughts are not final either. Metanite - I tried watching the podcast, but as I use headphones to protect the rest of the household, I had to stop watching. If the volume was set to make it comfortable to hear Metanite, it was too hard to hear the others. If I raised the volume for Kendricke, Glitter and Red Five, every time Metanite spoke it felt like my eardrums would burst. The auto-transcript wasn't great, although that's YouTube's problem, not Metanite's. I would love to read a proper transcript that's for sure. Obsidian Chill, Multiverse - just keep doing what you do, guys, it's all good. Giraffanat - OK, no idea, and I did try watching the player intro, but I find ThatGirlFromAU more engaging from the newer player perspective. It was a bit slow. Maybe she comes with an audience already, shrug. Also, I think this area needs development, with maybe some mentor types helping new players do the groups content. You could sign up for it offline. Just a thought. Klark - OK, might be an interesting addition, not someone I've watched before. I just don't get a lot out of videos with little commentary and people running around smoking elite content. But some will, I'm sure. From my perspective, here are some channels that I find interesting. Unfortunately iEddy and Dack Man and Torikumu are on hiatus (Trexlight too?). Geoforcee has some interesting stuff, and I like Starry Guides' clear, detailed commentary style (for when I'm stuck especially, also there's a lot others could learn from the way he does his vids) and Achikah for base tours.
I acknowledges it actually in my comments, this was a first try for me and discord & obs weren't picking the mics correctly and I had no idea since I heard them fine. This is something I am going to work through improving for the next episodes of the podcast and it was really the first time I did it too. I'll try add a transcript in the next couple days to help with that though. Also it was just weird timing that it came out at the same time as the announcement, but this isn't my only content, and I've been streaming with no issues too.
I noticed Multiverse had some technical difficulties this morning as well and couldn't be heard at all, technical difficulties, sound issues happen from time to time, it's good to let the person know, but I feel like you just have to take the good with the bad, there's some good content in there irrespective of the technical audio issues, same goes for Multiverse. As with everything the more content everyone makes the more it'll improve over time, so I'd encourage everyone to to just keep it up, even those I'm not always the most fond of I stopped by Giraffanat's stream this morning she seemed pretty relaxed and was definitely a nice person. If you want to be in the program yourselves then the best thing to do is simply apply when the opportunity arises.
I don't usually do anything other than scan the top posts of comments, due to YouTube being a wild kingdom, and I missed that one (in answer to Brittany I think). OK, sounds great. Unlike a couple of others here I like the idea of information being in one place that will get a lot of views and be easier to "hunt" down than random posts on this forum. But that's just me Awesome if you could add a transcript or notes!
Is that the one where he announces his participation in the league? I hadn't had the opportunity until now to watch that one and there were no sound problems at all. It was so nice to see a s/o to ThatGirlFromAU, for all the reasons I like her channel. I certainly agree with you re. the difficulties being something that can happen to anyone. The format of Metanite's chat meant she unfortunately would not have been able to re-record - notes or a transcript would be the next best thing. +100% Lol, not my thing. How about you?
Nah, because despite the fact I said above, where do I apply, and although one can never say never, I don't think it's something I'd rush in to nor at this time apply for. I used to stream years ago and have given thought some times to streaming again, but I don't think I'd apply to be part of the creators program because honestly these things always come with hooks. You're at least in part exchanging creative freedom for kick backs from the developers and my general view is that the kick backs aren't typically worth it when you can no longer be completely independent of development, you become a little bit beholden to them. I think for some creators this works perfectly and I truly do wish them all the best and in fact I support many of them, but as for me, no I don't really think so, because I'm a very opinionated person and I honestly would rather not be stifled by any obligations placed upon me by any agreement that most likely exists between developer and creator. I also don't want to be stuck in one particular genre or game if I were to stream it would be whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, that's a rather long way of saying "probably not", but might give you some insight in to my present thinking
Happy to see that the gamer I've subsribed to has been chosen. More power ObsidianChill! Greatly appreciate his updates and tips in playing DCUO!
And Android12 - EliteSixteen He's been doing PvP events for the past several years and funding his own money for prizes and working a lot to grind up materials and dcuo cash with his team working all together on it.
Thank You for the information on the Creators League. This whole project seems like a step in the right direction and it sounds like the most positive news lately to me. Cheers!
