If any of you were on the USPS Villain side tonight you would have seen how the trade chat was. It isn't a surprise though because its always like that. They were all talking *** if it was Facebook. I believe it was an argument and they were gossiping and crap like this was a social network or something. I tried ignore but everything I would look up, another ******** conversation comes up about politics, trash talking, religion ect. TL;DR: We need a server wide chat (global) that will be like shout but through the whole server of your faction because I'm tired of people using trade as a conversation chat.
man, im gonna be honest half the people who use the trade chat as their own chat room are on my ignore list and pretty much anyone who gets into trash talk battles with an ex nsync member
Agreed. I'm a hero but the same thing happens here. Just put those people on ignore and you'll find that its the same 5-10 people always the one talking on public channels. Once you put those annoying ones on ignore you'll find your channels much less crowded, trust me
I have to admit,....there are times where I don't mind it but enough is enough. I think clear across the board for both PS and PC, there should be a global chat system put in place. Trade and LFG chat is only limited to 60 characters and a post in certain time frames. Shout and Say are nice,....but they're kinda limited. So yes,....I would love to see this when League Halls comes up (or with an update shortly after that). Also....the ability to turn off any of those chat boxes if we don't wish to respond to them.
USPC - Trade chat is completely out of control. Hassling people trying to trade, posting suggestive if not outright blatant sexual text. Some are outright X rated. Other text is just clogging the trade channel with chatter which makes trading near impossible. I have a large amount of ignores now but that only keeps me form seeing it. The real fix is enforcement of using channels for what they were designed for and monitoring to make sure they are being used for their purpose. If not a lot of people to do monitoring then deputize some players to monitor and warn of misuse. Banning accounts that do it too often. It sounds harsh but sometimes you have to to regain order.
I use it a lot since I am premium and the cap is in place. Not complaining about cap just trying to work around it using trade. It is an important part of my game play.
Its not about separating the channels. When people spam the trade channel with chatter, sexual discussions, and even LFG related chat it squeezes out the true trading trying to be done. If you have 10 people chit chatting it makes it hard for people to see the trade requests.
I don't use trade chat. Is there not a timer like LFG? If not then there needs to be one. That will cut down on most of the chatter.
That's why I just removed Trade Chat completely from my Chat Box. Hardly anything was ever posted there that actually had to do with trading something.
