On today's login all of my custom voice chats no longer exist. I don't see any other reports of this yet. Is it just a PC thing like where the default file was renamed again?
Just re add the channel. Each channel only has 1. For example, if i made a channel called Pancake Power, & then someone else tried the same, we would be in the same chat. If u remember the names, just re add them
funny thing, mine disappeared few months ago. just assumed I was kicked or sth, but last night it came up out of nowhere. asked ppl there, they said "probs bug"
So last time what happened was during a update they renamed the file that the chats are stored in creating a new file for some reason. Someone on the Forums (not a DEV) identified the new and old file so I was able to rename the old one and poof my chats were returned. If it's the same bug again it'd be really nice if they would stop doing this. Also please provide the new file name so I can fix it again. I do not remember all of the custom chats names well enough to re-add them by hand.
It's not the same bug, it's the fix; basically do the opposite of -> https://forums.daybreakgames.com/dcuo/index.php?threads/pc-settings-reset.319563/#post-4462378 find the file named PII_ChatSettings and change it to $DAYBREAK_USERNAME_ChatSettings (where $DAYBREAK_USERNAME is the username you login in with) chances are there is a new file named $DAYBREAK_USERNAME so you will either need to rename it first or delete it.
Thank you! that was it again. I'm going to go write down my chat names somewhere now. Way easier to fix that way if this happens again.
