When I read the Prestige breakdown I didn't think much of it. My alt is T2, if I q up and run Khandaq I can get 305 prestige for my league. Q'd up and got: 6-T6 players doing a speed feat and one other T2 player. Sure we burned through it quick but the results were 76 Prestige each for myself and the other T2 player and now i'm locked out for the week. The math? 2 T2 guys = 610 Prestige. Divided by 8 players = 76.25 per player. Only us two T2 players received the prestige. One guy says "your welcome! Noobs!" I'm like "for what? Taking my prestige? Did you not notice this fresh 40 toon already had the speed feat? An experienced PUG group would be sufficient to get through this without losing prestige points." So... now... it would've been nice to have been able to each player get their own prestige... but then again I can see how people would abuse this by making alts then having their high level league toons burn through it. The only solution I see would be an optional CR lockout setting (similar to Group Role setting on/off). Not sure if it's worth the development since in a couple months when everyone has Halls this may be a non issue. So I'm a bit undecided on this issue.
Other players in the instance do not get your prestige. It is not divided up; that's not how it works. Sounds more like a bug to me. You received 25% due to it thinking you were one tier above CR-wise than the instance. What CR is your character? What CR did Black Adam appear as?
Yeah Seth is right. Prestige is entirely individual, it has nothing to do with other people in your group.
Ok thanks for that info. I thought my math was too close to not be right. I'll try a different run. I didn't notice what Adam's CR was but i'll re run something else in case there is a bug. I forgot that Khandaq Novice is available earlier on so there is a chance my 40 CR toon was too high. Will Give it another go.
If you check you'll find their still "tweaking" the prestige awards. Making another band. Redefining Tiers. You ran novice? That's probably the problem. I'd bet Black Adam's CR in novice is low enough to put you in the 25% prestige band.
Incorrect. You only get a penalty if you do a tier below your current tier, you will not be penalised for doing something above your tier.
I stand corrected I read it wrong, I wonder if they're going to adjust wonder woman, she's 105 in TD. Does that mean beating WW in a TD means you wouldnt get full credit? Am I still reading it wrong?
No you're reading it right, I was wondering the same thing. I'm only at 104 so it doesn't affect me yet, but I have considered not modding to 106 when I have full Strategos gear. Although to be honest it's much less of a big deal once people actually have their league halls. It's the initial 125k Prestige to actually get the league hall that is the killer. We've reached the weekly cap in our league though so we should hopefully have our hall by the weekend, so after that I don't really mind about being penalised.
That would be unfortunate, although I don't see any other interpretation. The current T6 bosses should be buffed to 106 cr. Edit: posted the concern in the developer discusion thread. I suggest anyone else who feels it should be addressed to do the same (politely).
