Cr is more important than Sp

lol this is funny. So a cr 30 with 190 sp is going to beat a cr 106 with 30 sp?
You can have all the SP or Cr you want, none of it means anything if you don't know what you're doing

I don't get why people say this. When people are saying CR/SP are important, they are saying they are important on their own merit. As in THE SAME INDIVIDUAL is a lot better with 100 more SP. Not a skilled master with 30 sp and a monkey with 200sp. In a 1v1, equal footing, CR matter. SP matters.

Hmmm, and about player (a GOOD player) with 108 CR, 190 skill points VS another player (also, GOOD player) with 108 CR, 30 skill points (or enough to make the weapon mastery)

Who as dps will do more damage?

Stop making excuses and just go level up your skill points. ;)

I am disagreeing with how you are measuring things. "Doesn't matter if you don't have the skill". Skill does help, but DCUO is a very basic game. Saying "if you don't have the skill" is kind of dumb. Sure, nothing matters if you just ram your head against the controller. You could have a one shot move, if you ram your head against the controller that one shot move is completely useless. (Unless you get lucky I guess..)

Is that why I've seen t5s lose to t2s? Yeah let me go give 106 cr and 180 sp to someone who played DC for only 2 months and give someone who played DC everyday and knows what he's doing 60 cr and 60 sp and let's see who wins..I'll let you know once the guy who only played for 2 months figures out how to use Weapon Mastery

If you think it takes more than 2 months to be good at DCUO that might be the problem. Sure I don't play much anymore. So people who match my stats will be better than me. But only if they have the same stats, or close. Player skill doesn't matter that much more than stats.

It took me like.. a day to figure out weapon mastery when I came back. Its not complicated.

crits usually double your damage, so if you have all the crit chance and magnitude you will gain much more than raw stats indicate, also with 180ish sps i can get 675 might and prec plus the t2 might prec boosts which is considerable as well, but mainly it is the crit chance and magnitude that seperates ppl with or without alot of sps

Made up point? The point is a 106 dps can have the same stats as a 108 dps depending on skill points. I was kind of hoping people would be able to infer by themselves but apparantly I have to spell it out. Sad really. Do I need to spell it out? If a 106 with higher skill points has the same damage stats as a 108 with less skill points, then the skill points made the difference. Not just the gear.

PVE. Uh. Me? Anyone who isn't bad?

PVP? Not sure, don't play that much. Probably a lot harder, but CR/SP complainers are usually PVE people annoyed about Raid restrictions, not PVP players.

But again, it doesn't have to be a pro. Just has to be smart enough to understand mods, or read a guide here for a loadout. PVE anyways.

2 differnt CR well a person with 106 CR and 108 SP <108 CR 106 SP

EDIT: i have a toon who has 152 SP and a toon that has 101 depending on what type of 105 CR We are talking about then with a gap of 51 SPs that only contributes about 300 might and precision depending on how you spec but depending on your gear just going from a 256 DPS weapon to a 303 is a huge leap ... in stats among other sets while it would be close i still think the 2 points CR would maybe outweigh 50 SPs in

I would rather take 108cr player with 85 skill points into lockdown, than a 100cr player with 170 skill points.I don't care how much they put up on the scorecard, just as long as they don't die repeatedly resulting in a wipe. Better gear increases your survivability. Period.

Gear alone does not make you a good player. But whatever. If yall wanna bash me, bash me. Long live fully geared players with 10 skill points because as you said, skill points don't matter. Skill matters. When you run the top raid with a troll who doesn't know what P.O.T. i because he was handed his gear in a week from being carried by his leaguemates, it's all cool right? Because, you know. It's more about the CR than the actual skill and skill points.

I think this conversation has missed the core meaning of what the devs have stated. It has been quoted here too many times for me to bother counting, that according to the devas sp and cr are equally important. They never said that they are equal to each other. Having high cr is important, having a solid sp count is important, they are meant to be used together. This isn't an either/ or scenario. Put your work in, get your armor, mod it, farm feats for sp and quit year damn cryin before I am forced to start handing out pacifiers.

Everyone learns stuff differently, just because you Tule learned in 2 months means everyone will. :) I'm not saying it's bad or anything, I'm saying how everyone is different, however that's no excuse though. I do feel we learn something new about this game in all everyday.

Cr is more important for the most part. You need around 80 sp and than it truly becomes cr is more important.
