Conditioning for fighting

    Just took my first boxing class. I wanted to take Muay Thai but the boxing was free (due to a friend of a friend) so I thought I would start there.

    All I have to say is wow. I use to think I was in excellent shape but clearly weight/power lifting and cardio are two totally different classes. I was out within roughly 12 minutes of conditioning. Fighters there could run circles around me...for hours. Never thought endurance could be so intimidating.

    Just thought I would share my experience with you guys. I wish I could elaborate on the actual training we did but I don't know the names yet. I just watched and followed accordingly.

    Keep at it, you will develop a higher endurance and pain tolerance, it will get better and more fun, as you start running circles around the newbies :)
