Companion Romance NPC Idea

Before they introduce NPC romance, they need to implement 'Secret Identities' (five out of six of main characters have real identities, only Blacque doesn't and that's because she's an alien, well, Cyana is as well but have a background for her)

Sorry, but if you have seen the mess companions have become with Star Wars, you would understand that companions are just a really bad idea. They ended up becoming a political movement in that game that just got really stupid really fast. Companions have to be VERY Politically Correct and VERY dynamic to make them work which requires way too much time and money from the Devs.

Leave Romances out of this game...PLEASE!

Just shout for a girlfriend or boyfriend the next time your in Gotham or Metropolis.

Requires no time or effort on the devs part and you can have your companion within a shorter time frame that doesn't take away resources from other aspects of the game.

I dunno. I used to have this House Carl in Skyrim that would come in my room at night, sit in the chair at the foot of the bed and stare at me. That got creepy real fast. Meaning, the NPC would have to have some decent smarts.

But, for you role play, people out there. It probably wouldn't be that hard to create/customize an NPC that could show up in some story lines. Give it a name and choose a relationship (boy/girl friend, relative, trainee, etc.) and then have it show up in solo instances (Hero: Save NPC from Villain X ; Villain: Free NPC from capture by Hero Y). That means that the NPC is scripted and limited for moments and would hardly need any AI programming, and kind of personalize the game for your character.

I'm disappointed this hasn't shown up yet.

Romantic subplots in superhero movies kind of bore me. And I'm not really interested in a virtual girlfriend in the game. But, I'm not against this. In fact, I think the sidekick should be customizable like this, then you can have your significant other fight along side you if you chose. And I like the idea of the sidekick just wandering around the lair.

Well they didn't go all in with that, only a few of the newest comps and NPCs can do same sex romances. Having a romance system at all is still odd to me let alone same sex stuff, so I don't really get the big push for it.

Unless they can find a way to work replays into it somehow then it probably never happens

I'm with Red Templar this is a DC game. Freezer stuffing and knock knock click boom was the norm.

The Bad One says you need sunlight. The People refuse to have a romantic relationship with a robot. He has a wife and 2 girlfriends he has to deal with in real life, this would just add to the headache and most likely more money to spend on a woman who is just using The Iron Bull for his looks and charming personality. The Bad guy will take a minion for his base to tell him how great he is but please make it like the sparing target where it can take a beating. Being a villain is not easy.
