The elite version of this boss now feels like it somehow has the same health and attack stats that the elite plus version has. I see nothing in the update notes indicating that the elite version was adjusted, so it must be a bug due to elite plus? Also, he is now always restoring to full health after the first cocoon phase.
Swamp guy does feel a little bit off. At some points it looked like his health wasn't even moving. Somebody should definitely check on that.
Can you link the thread confirming it's not a bug? I'm not sure whether you mean it's not a bug because he's supposed to heal to full or simply that those who observed this were just burning the adds slowly enough to allow him to heal to full. If it's the former, that certainly doesn't seem correct. I haven't paid attention to whether this happened to me in CHME since the update, but I can say for sure it doesn't happen in CHME+, and it shouldn't work differently between the two versions.
I see. Although I don't think he means that Swamp Thing is supposed to return to 100% health after the first regeneration phase. The way I understand the mechanic is that when he reaches a certain health, he enters the pod and begins restoring health at a certain rate and this restoration continues until you kill all the adds which breaks him out of the pod. I see that his comment is from Friday, so I don't know if he meant that it's fixed on live or if it's only fixed internally, but what I described above is how the mechanic is currently working in all versions. The fact that OP observed him always returning to full health either means that the burn in his groups is slow enough that he has time to heal to full health or there is a bug that is only happening sometimes but not all the time. On a related note, I notice that the linked comment didn't even address your (and others') concerns about the changes in elite - his reply had nothing to do with increased health pools.
I pulled up an old YouTube video of a clean CHME run and the total boss damage was around 320 M. My recent clean runs have been around 470 M. 2nd boss before the hot fix was 210 M in the video, so I'll double check 2nd boss in my next run.
Confirmed in CHME run today that first 2 bosses are around 210 million in damage. So the increase in Swamp Thing's damage is around 150 million.
Oh I can definitely confirm they did something wrong with a change . We just ran it and he has hella lot more health for no reason. just fess up say oops we messed up and fix it please. We run the instance weekly and whoa was that different
