Stop with the OP pieces.

They don't keep people playing content because no one thinks they'll ever get it.

Actually I try to solo Prime every week and if I see someone shout for Lockdown or a&b or Throne I'll join. I random que them too but they don't pop to often. I need a way to solo que them...hint,hint devs.

Im just against best gear being a random-drop. These OP-items they keep releasing on a monthly basis now just add to the luck and Replay driven bs that is being sold as "progression"- resembling more of a HackAndSlash-lottery-game than a MMO. Atm these items are kept in check by CR-differential but once "stats-matter" finally arrives that will change. Not that it would really matter bc content gets balanced around last EPs gear anyways (which makes it pretty much pointless at release already progression wise).
Im just dissapointed that all this company can do is to yet again put another "better" type of gear with an even smaller drop-rate on top of the already existing 4 types of gear to increase their Replay-sales in an already subscription-based game.
Other than that I ve no issues with OP gear

I totally agree. What's the point of having them as drops if they are going to be so random. I think that they need to come up with a better way for them to be obtainable or just stop putting them in at all

A good middle-ground wouldve been if the Last Boss of these big Raids dropped something similar to these new "Scraps".

Each time the boss drops 1 "Golden Scrap". The plan costs like 80-100 MoV, 100 Golden Scraps makes 1 Fused Golden Scrap and you need 10 Fused Golden Scraps to make the OP item.

It'd be better for both sides. You'd still give the Replay Junkies a reason to replay content so much, and the more casual gamer would at least have the chance to get the item, even if its a few Episodes behind, at least for the Style. Plus it'd increase peoples need to play previous content too.

Crafting. If they put plans for OP items requiring a ridiculous amount of scraps (maybe 2500) I might actually be tempted to work for it.

If they were to add OP pieces to crafting I can see them adding something you have to buy fron the marketplace to make them.

So the style is? Ive heard its darkseids chest style? If that true im really disappointed. His chest style should be an iconic purple drop like nekrons was. Because how many people will actually get this OP chest? Very few. I hope that is not the style and if it is they need to change it. Idc what style they make the OP chest. Do whatever. But if u gonna have a darkseid chest it NEEDS to be an iconic drop plz.

And yea the OP stuff is whatever now. Before they had value. Now? LOL cmon we all know the OP items have no value. What is this 6 months in a row with an OP piece? There also should be a way to get the style with it. Put the OP styles on rare style vendor for 100 marks. This will not stop people from resetting for OP items.

I think the gold items should be as the prime ... where the item is a unique helmet with esclusivo style brainiac.
Thus, even if it lost its value as cr, still maintain the value for being a unique style!
Even allowing us to return even after losing the relevance just to get the item ...

Thing is resetting for it doesnt even up your chances of getting it as its not counted towards the loot/boss counter

since they retooled the loot tables last week queues have been popping like crazy for all instances. i'm actually as excited for tomorrows resetto rerun everything and see what base items i can get out of dox as i am running bbs.

i eventually scored the prime helm ona few characters but this was years after the fact. i was also lucky with the op rings. my main and one of my alts ended up with a pair each. never saw the mask or neck from the t6 stuff but today...well i scored the op neck piece from bbs and then right after i got the helm from pze. i'm still floating from that one.

That's the thing that gets me. There is no kind of system in how in drops besides being so damn random. Like I said in another thread, I have a friend who got the OP head on back to back PZE runs.

In my DCUO career, I have received one OP item during the time it was relevant - one ring. I also got the OP helmet from Prime Battleground about 3 years after it was relevant; it was nothing but salvage.

It would be nice if we got some kind of luck counter exclusively for OP items. For instance, run it 100 times and you're guaranteed to get an OP item; people would probably spend even more replay badges knowing that. As it is now, I'll reset a few times; but I view it as a waste because I feel that no matter how much I dump in, that OP isn't coming.
