Celestial isn't really "top teir"...

not sure if this is relevant, but since this is a QQ thread basically...why not:

had a Celestial healer today in the alert that had serious power consumption issues. wasnt sure if it was teh player or the power, but dude was strugglin.

OK.. I will compare it to every other powerset that can clip...

Do a power.. then clip.. do a power.. then clip every animation cut short....
Speed is everything...
Especially the combos where you Tap Melee, Tap Range, Hold Melee.... That is crazy long to get that to go off.. by the time that goes off.. I have already doubled their damage with my "do a power, clip"..

Celestial cannot clip until the end.. that is the problem....
I was using HL because it is a really good DPS power and has little "power in" if done right similar to Celestial.

Anyway... since this thread is a bit older now and more and more people are using the power..
It is still a very fun power... Solo'd Gates at CR73 with it.. so it is pretty beast when it comes to group heals.

But for DPSing... I have seen seen things die before the Celestial power could get their "combo" off. And that puts them at a disadvantage.
And if they spec'd in all Precision.. that first power to start the combo off is might based.. so they get a weak damage and then before they can finish the combo the thing is dead...

That's definitely a player problem...

in the post above.. I solo healed Gates with the power and had little power issues if any at all... I had one of the least "power in" in the raid...

If he is trying to use the power and combo directly into other powers without using the combo mechanic.. that I could see be a problem.. but that is a player problem, not the power.

I used HL and had no issues seeing any animations , i love whip thrash ,ram , impact etc

I was also on PC when i used them so maybe people with old hardware or on ps3 had problems

I like the combos for celestial except for the fact that when I try and combo renew with curse nothing happens.

if someone gets involved in a conversation with me and speaks about something in reference to something i have said then they need to bring facts not just statements.

on the other hand you could be saying that HL is too fast and op for anyone to see them
but that wouldnt make sense from a PVE perspective

so i implore you elaborate on your comments as i know of no problems with HL animations and considering your getting likes i would like to know what im not seeing or missing out on

He's probably saying that people who play HL clip so much and so fast that you don't see the animations simply because they are all clipped. That would be my guess.

Massive dmg with very little power consumption is what I thought they got.

You aren't that good, earlier this week you came 3rd in that paradox run with a gadgets dps and celestial dps beating you....so please stop lying .

Solo heal Gates with 37 Sp nothing above t3 and two health 1 mods. Hell no the team wasn't T5, the way they played seemed like they were still learning but no wipes and one dps didn't make it in the last fight still made it through. People kept dying cause they didn't pay attention. Circe took out 4 ppl standing in front of her, I really did't want to be KO'd

Was top damage in Wavr today with close to 4 mill with celestial and was 3rd at power in among the dps id say its top tier if u know how to use it and are skilled.

i did fine in that gates run last night hehe i even used divine light and plague. you're right though, if there would have been another high burst dps in there like HL/gadget/quantum i might not have gotten those long combos off. retribution > wither is still pretty fast though. in t5 raids its much less of an issue. when i was still HL i recently switched my prec mods in red sockets to prec & might. i think it suits celestial well too.

But I also inspected you.. you vastly out number me in precision and gear...

Sometimes it just comes down to the numbers...
If I had the same gear as you.. the numbers may have been closer... I don't even have expert mods.

Put you in the same game as someone who has the same gear as you and equal number of SP..... there might be a different game..

I think it's funny when a player that is "CR100" and says "I knew I could out DPS you" and I am way below where they are at gear wise... that's like me saying "I knew I could Out DPS a full T4 guy" when I'm Full T5 Regular mods.
