More and more important DC heroes will be celebrating their anniversary and they do deserve more consideration. Wonder Woman I agree with you deserves much more in the game. Like a giant statue for the League Hall. Also, I think Anniversary posters from the past could make a comeback. I have some of them on my EU server account but I would also like to have them on my current US server account.
So, I waited until I had enough time and enough boxes opened to really get a full picture of the event to offer feedback and, I have to say, I very much enjoyed it. Yes, there were recycled instances. Yes, there were potential microtransactions involved. However, the return of older Batman Day items and limited Membership/Anniversary rewards was HUGE. It's something a good portion of the community has wanted for a long time now, especially newer members, and for it to be integrated in a fairly accessible manner was wonderful. That being said, here's my feedback for the Batman Day Celebration for whatever it's worth: Major Pluses The return of Membership/Anniversary exclusive gifts Reward Caches being both stackable AND tradeable The addition of the The Epic of King Tut collections from a Time Capsule without need of Stabilizers Feedback for next year's, or upcoming, celebrations Add coveted items to the Episode Vendor for Coins, even for a larger price tag. One drawback to all this, as with most things MMO related, is RNG. While the spread within the caches was very generous and appreciated, it did make getting specific items difficult. I spoke with quite a few players and decorators in my community and despite avidly running content they were unable to obtain some of the older membership reward items this Batman Day. To help ease the burden, I'd suggest making it possible for coveted items to be placed on the Episode Vendor alongside the added cosmetics/furniture for the year. Even if the price tag was 140 coins per item (the maximum for the two week duration) it'd at least allow them to grab the one item they wanted and ran content so diligently for, only to be rejected by RNG. Adjust all items within the Caches to be tradeable and stackable Stackable items make farming/grinding much easier, especially for base decorators. While there were some items that were tradeable, the abundance of older membership rewards were still labeled Account Bound, and even fewer were stackable. Given the Caches themselves were sellable and stackable, I think making their contents would be a very nice quality of life endeavor for those that took the time to earn the rewards. This could also help ease the burden from the above issue with allowing players to purchase these items from the broker or trade amongst themselves. That's about it. Thank you for hosting a fun few weeks of daily goodies. Looking forward to the next celebration day and what it holds.
Here's my view on the Batman event - Overall A Disappointment - Grade C- I've barely played the game over the past 2 weeks, notwithstanding the primary reason is a serious lack of new content, it's also fair to say the Batman anniversary event has done nothing to attract me to play for longer periods. Despite the fact none of the Batman content is "difficult" you'll also find a lot of it is exactly the type of EEG content people avoid and for a variety of perfectly valid reasons, things like Inner, Outer, Monsters of Metal... I mean seriously... PUGS are are unpreditcable the content is too long people don't do mechanics people don't communicate the content is unrewarding for its length. The RNG chase is unrewarding and unsatisfying The clamp is too tedious A part of the problem here as well is the developers incessant reluctance to review the state of the clamp and the impact the clamp is having on the overall enjoyment your players are experiencing when running old content, especially outside of preformed league or friend runs. Then you've got the Batman box, which is just a complete gamble where some people win out and others don't and there's little control over your experience, just like a true mobile "gotcha game". If you're going to turn these things into events, then just make them events, have a marks vendor and do it properly, like the short St Patricks event, where it is a more satisfying player experience and if you're going to make events using EEG content then for goodness sake, look at the clamp, please... Hell, I should probably log in and make sure I get my free t shirt on my characters, I haven't even done that yet and it's the last day
I actually loved this event. Finished the Tut Tut collection, since the supply of the rarest collection went up in the broker, the price came way down. Before the event, that collection was 300+ million, I snagged it for 70 million....then, got one in a box and sold it for 100 million the next day! My only complaint were some of the content choices. With the clamp, a couple of the raids were tedious, and outright impossible with some random groups. Any mechanic heavy instance can be tough with randoms and the clamp, and some of this content has the most demanding mechanics. The highlight was definitely the range of items in the box. I was surprised at a lot of the items included, especially the time capsule collection. I wouldn't mind seeing this type of event for all of the main DC characters, at least Justice League members.
