When it comes to her instant (the telegraphed red skull), is it a mandatory thing to roll out with Blocking V or can you run with anything and just block the hit? I like to run RP IV / V since my personal hit counter usually rises as high as 50-90 if I don't get countered or forced to break and dodge, but when I think about it, it almost turns to say that if you want to run Light 2, its mandatory that you run HT at the same time (accidental???)
Dont quite understand the second part of what you said but, no fortified blocking isnt needed for carol ferris if you have a decent amount of gear. If your full 111 she takes about 60-70 percent of your health, but i have seen people who lag and think they blocked on time but end up getting 1 shoted because theirs a delay.
She takes about that same amount when your 108 aswell ,did lw on my nat heals.It doesnt matter your cr as long as you block she shouldnt be much of a problem
What I meant was if she does need fortified blocking as a means to escape being 1 shot, it makes it a near p2w atmosphere because it would be the only way to avoid being 1 shot. Also, 60-70% is all? Well...I guess depending on how much health you have and your defense..I had run it first time ever a few days ago and was told we needed it to survive (and took 1200-1500 per hit on block) which is why I had to ask for clarification. It can be survivable with 10k hp and 8300 def, right?
Yes. Most likely, people have been telling you about needing the Fortified Block mod because they haven't realised that she was fixed after an unintended change to the way that skull attack acts. If you hold block in time now, the hit isn't as bad, as long as your healer is on his toes.
No it's not P2W and it never has been. To answer your question fortified blocking has NEVER been needed to survive Carol. I didn't use it when the raid came out, nor after she started hitting harder and still don't use it after the nerf. Too many bad players spreading misinformation sometimes makes me laugh. The biggest problem I see you're going to have with light is stopping your combo so you can block.
you don't need to get fortified blocking. i don't and i do fine. but i also use shield. the only pay to win feature in this game that i know of is PVE legends since you have to pay to get certain feats.
Pay 2 win doesn't mean you need a sub or content to win. It means cash shop sells things like armor or power ups.
Shouldnt matter, as long as you block as soon as the skull pops up she will take anywhere from 50-70% of your health depending on if you are shielded, or if you health is over 12000.

Obviously not entirely. Unless you sub, everything in the game requires you to make a purchase for it if you want everything out of it. R&D needs escrow purchase to get top tier plans made(or Trading). Legends PvE needs bought Legends characters to get all the feats. PvP requires at least $5 put in the game to get top tier. Survival Mode has minimum CRs that need DLCs to have a shot of getting into it.
None if which constitutes p2w. A 5 dollar contribution to help support a game you enjoy playing is nothing. Should they charge 50 to download the game and make everyone premium? Legendary perks are a convenience to the true supporters of this game but are not required for anything end game. If anything the perks for legendary should be greater but to do so would really upset the p2w lunatics.
