I was able to login and create a character but had to go after I was loaded into HoL. Every time I try to login now, I'll click "Play" and it'll go to the "Connecting" screen then immediately to Disconnected ... authentication issue: 0x0018,6,0 screen, no character select or anything. Any ideas? A friend told me he has to create a new daybreak every time he wants to use Test server, is this the only solution or did I need to do anything else? note that I'm able to log into the normal US Live server and play fine and my email has been verified. Support said they don't help with Test server and to post here, I've also searched for related issues, but they were older and related to server being down for maintenance or were having issues after the character select screen.
There is a chance test is down when you are trying to log into it or there is a issue with it. You don't need to create a new account everytime you want to use Test Server. I logged in just fine after character select. Try validate the files or check if your firewall is blocking the game.
Appreciate the response! I haven't been able to get to the character select screen on Test server yet. I verified files and went to "Game Configuration", then had to download dotNetFx35 and directX. Same issue. Any idea if there's some other thing I need to install? or maybe a setting? I'm guessing people who've had the Test server for longer aren't having the issue, only new downloads
No worries, I think It's worth shooting a Direct Message to Community Manager Mepps to see if he can forward it to the team to check.
I'm having the same issue. I have delete/uninstalled several time still getting the same error message.
No response from Mepps yet. I messaged last Thursday, he may just be busy. I'll ping him again and update here when I hear back if there is a workaround/solution.
It's test center, it doesn't get formal notifications for every single downtime like live servers. If multiple people can't connect, it's usually down for some adjustments, additional patching, or they may even be using it for some internal testing.
It's been a thing over 4 days now, unless you create a new account you can not enter the test server. Even if you create a new account, the moment you leave you can not enter again.
It's been like this for over a week for multiple people, not just a simple matter of "down for maintenance". Tried at various times of day. It seems to be for only new people that downloaded PC Test Server, others that have already had it installed for a long time aren't having this issue. If you start it with a fresh account, authentication works and you can access it. But if you login again on the same account, you get this error. It's not because of any maintenance work.
I just wanted to add that I'm having the same problem. Furthermore, when I try to uninstall the test client, I get an error that says: I get this even after restarting my PC and attempting to uninstall before doing anything else.
It had me create a new character, wouldn't let me choose cr skip 100 and 333 said it cost db cash but clicking either did nothing. After I clicked Finish it put me to an authentication error. When trying to login again it says connection to world loss. No character select screen.
I'm not sure if you meant me or BlackGuns, but I tried to login to the test server, and this time it didn't have me make a new character. I went through all the logos, then a loading screen, then the authentication error. I tried uninstalling again, and got the runtime error again.
